Experience a 4-Day Luxury Amazon River Cruise from Iquitos, Loreto aboard the Aria

Summary: I did not go on the Aqua Aria but on their sister ship, the Aqua Nera for a 8 day / 7 night excursion. From my arrival at Iquitos airport to sending me off on the last day of my adventure, I was pampered and extremely well looked after. My accommodation was luxurious, and extremely comfortable. The same can be said of the lounge, bar and dining area In terms of experience, it was out of this world. A great thank you to the crew of the Aqua Nera and especially Ivanna, our cruise director. Certainly a trip that one should not miss.

Summary: The cruise was amazing from every aspect. The crew, food, tour guides, accomodations. We got up close to lots of diverse wild life and every excursion were on smaller boats departing from the main boat which made things carefree and easy. They had all the equipment necessary from rain ponchos, bug spray, boots for jungle hike, etc. the cabins were spacious and well appointed and air conditioned with a big shower. The food was local and outstanding. It was a great way to see the Amazon.

Summary: I cannot praise the team that looked after us enough. The guides were knowledgeable, funny and made every trip a pleasure. The food was really excellent - I don't know how the chef managed to produce such wonderful meals in the middle of the Amazon. Luis, the bartender made the best Dark and Stormy cocktail that I have ever tasted. Every single member of the team made it their mission to enable you to enjoy every moment. We saw plentiful animals and and birds during our trips. We fished for pirhanas, kayaked and one of the best trips was to a village on the river bank. Yes, it is a rainforest - and it does rain!! But we enjoyed every moment of our time on the 'Aria'.

Summary: This is a must do bucket list trip. The team are exceptional and nothing is too difficult. The day trips are simply unexplainably breathtaking with guides who are so passionate about their special place. love it

Summary: The service is 5 stars with very attentive and one to one ratio of crew to guest. The food is the highlight with special attention to Peruvian and local ingredients. When the weather is good the excursion is also a lot of fun! We did the four days cruise they also offer longer ones. We had a great time and would recommend to others. However, because the experience is not exactly cheap you should be aware: - when the weather is not good meaning raining and it rains fairly frequent as you can imagine, the animals are NOT out and you do not have much to do onboard (the boat is not equipped with any entertainment) - it does not have like professor or other distinguished naturalists onboard. The guides are mainly local and offers great guidance to casual observers (us). However, if you are some avid animal enthusiasts I suspect you may find it a bit superficial - the rooms and indoor areas are perfectly comfortable but you will smell something in any area not fully enclosed or air conditioned (enter the doorway). There are some wears and tears of the boat but nothing to be concerned of - there will be bugs onboard so just be prepared. Kinda a package of the place - there is a 10% suggested gratitude (give or take) of your booking value so just be prepared

Summary: Aqua Expeditions reviews An incredible experience on the Amazon River! We did the 4-night expedition cruise on the Aria Amazon. It was a first-class trip that exceeded our expectations. The ship was luxurious and comfortable. The food was Michelin-star worthy and highlighted the bountiful flavors unique to the region. The crew could not have been more pleasant, eager to assist our every request and anticipated our needs. They had cold drinks and smiles waiting for us after hot days in the Amazonian sun, brought chilled towels during our jungle hike, and insect repellent and hand sanitizer always on the ready. Everything was included in the price (except alcohol, tips, and souvenirs - which is fair); it made travel planning so easy. We saw so many Amazonian animals that the crew went through a long list after just the second full day. Mammals, birds, reptiles, insects - all in the wild and in their natural glory. Our naturalists were incredibly knowledgeable of the animals, plants and region. They made the experience unforgettable, with their eagle eyes to spot animals, superpower quickness to catch predators for our education (and respectfully release them), and encyclopedic knowledge. They, and most (all?) of the crew, are from the local areas so their ability to educate us from their deep and personal understanding of the life, culture and people on the Amazon River was truly special. Their focus on sustainability was meaningful. We were very pleased with our trip - and are eager to try Aqua Expeditions’ other cruise destinations.

Summary: Wow, what an ex-STREAM-ly memorable experience. I am one picky customer but I have nothing bad to say. My 4-day trip was so well planned, it really feels like they thought of everything. The facilities look exactly like the photos - you can expect gorgeous common areas that are well-designed and extremely photogenic. Our room was spotless (I especially loved that they service the room three times a day!) with comfortable beds and a hot shower. Our trip was filled with thoughtful touches like cold towels after excursions, complimentary rubber boots to simplify packing, abundant bug spray, and surprise refreshments just when you need it. I found the itinerary to be well-planned to cover a lot of ground but not at all exhausting. The staff definitely makes the trip - I found every single person to be professional and friendly, full of smiles and ready to be of service. English was no problem at all but it was still fun to practice my poor Spanish with the crew. Special shout-out to the naturalist guides who were just so impressive - knowledgeable, personable, and all blessed with incredible eyesight. It's all truly full service. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in experiencing the magic of The Amazon River.

Summary: First class all the way! The accommodations, the food and service were all excellent! Really, the food prepared by Juan Diego was fantastic! They have well educated naturalists leading small group excursions to explore the flora and fauna of the Amazon River and rain forest that were fantastic experiences. Ricky, Billy, Julio and Roland were well versed and well spoken in English and Spanish, their love of the Amazon and conservation are clear. They really made the difference, taking a lovely cruise up to exciting adventure! We can’t wait to return to contrast the wet and dry seasons! We will definitely choose the Aria again.
