Summary:
Our guide was Ann. If I had to guess, I would say she had a degree in German history. This lady was so knowledgeable about every area on our tour and she loved to talk about it. We took this tour as part of our cruise stop in Warnemunde Germany. It was a 3 hour bus ride but it went fast. Once we were inside Berlin, Ann pointed out lots of areas of interest pertaining to the history of the area. We stood on the spot where the border was for east/west Germany. Stopped at Checkpoint Charlie, saw the remains of the Berlin wall, a memorial to the Jewish people who lost their lives under Hitler and many iconic buildings and statues. We truly enjoyed our time on this tour.
We were given time to explore Berlin on our own, get something to eat and then ride another 3 hours back to Warnemunde. It was worth it. We did stop half way there and back for a bathroom break.
