Summary: This walking tour was a fantastic experience and insightful adventure into the history, culture, and contributions of African and Afro-Panamanians. The tour guides Meli and Gabriel were knowledgeable and compassionate about their Panamanian heritage and the Black culture overall. My wife and I got a chance to participate in a cultural dance demonstration and walk the streets of old Panama, and feel the vibe of street markets and everyday day life in Panama. We highly recommend this tour for any Black person or person of color, regardless of where in the world you from. Because what you will discover is that our ancestry roots are more closely linked than you may realize.

Summary: The tour provided an in depth look at the Afro Caribbean/Antillean contributions to the country and more importantly the construction of the Canal. Meli ( and Gabriel) were GREAT! This truly was a positive experience rich in history!
