Join the Citadelle Gin Distillery Tour in English in Cognac, Charente

Summary: Absolutely tip top tour of this magnificent distillerie by our English/French group (17 of us). Emma was a great host and talked us through the gin process as we visited the distillerie and orangerie. We finished with a delicious tasting - which was a big success by the number of purchases that were made in the shop! Highly recommended- cheers Emma!

Summary: We made the booking really easily and found our way out to Citadelle Distillery. In all, it was a group of 8, and Emma was brilliant at talking us through the history, and the processes. The purchasing of several items was rather easy in the colourful boutique! It feels like a business and tour that will keep adding and growing to what you can experience here. Perhaps a small restaurant to soak up some of the gins that were tasted, and a cocktail book with all the gins incorporated. A best seller!

Summary: What a great couple of hours, Emma was an amazing guide and was very knowledgeable, the tour is very reasonable priced and was enjoyed by everyone. The gin and glasses we purchased was also very reasonably priced, all in all a great visit and would recommend to anyone.

Summary: Our guide Emma, was very well informed, we learnt the history.of the Chateau and the vision behind the brand. Opening a Gin Distillery in Cognac country was very risky! We really enjoyed the tour the tasting was brilliant, a variety of flavoured and natural Gins with different mixers. As a staunch Vodka drinker I may now be a convert!! We will be adding this to our regular visits when our guests arrive.

Summary: This is truly a behind-the-scenes tour of gin distillation in general and the incredible personal touches behind the Citadel gins. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the process of gin making. She showed us some of the things that make Citadel gin so special, including the on-site juniper trees and citrus fruits, and the meticulous blending methods for some of the amazing special and limited edition gins. Everyone we met who was invovled in the process exuded pride in their work and the gins they were creating. We were able to sample several of delicious gins at the end of the tour, including the Rouge, Jardin d'été and Cornichon (pickle). What a great tour and a peek at how some great gins are made. I highly recommend it!

Summary: From juniper bushes to G + T we learned about it all from our knowledgeable and entertaining guide. The care and attention to design detail that you see in the distillery, Orangerie, shop and tasting rooms are reflected in the creativity of the gin blends and diverse range of products. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour. Great value and an unforgettable experience.
