Summary: My hubby and I joined this tour as the start of our honeymoon - due to it being off-peak season we had the lovely John as our private tour guide! His knowledge of the region, horticulture, art deco and of course the vineyards is tremendous, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. We went to 3 vineyards, Brookfields, Church Road and Mission Estate, all offering something different and tasty. We finished the tour in town at Good George where we sampled some cider products before being dropped back to our accom. Was the perfect intro to Napier and we will certainly be back, and stay for longer!! :)

Summary: Tere, our guide was really friendly and knowledgeable about wine making, the local area and its history. We were given the choice of visiting 3 vineyards and a brewery, or visiting 4 vineyards with the rest of the participants, and were glad to have opted for wine! The last vineyard was the oldest and the wine was lovely. In Brookfield we were greeted by the owner who explained about the wines and treated us to a glass of a vintage wine that is sadly no longer in production. The trip included a platter of food in the Church Road vineyard which was delicious. This was great value for money and very educational but we couldn’t relax too long at each venue before we had to move on to the next vineyard. Recommended.

Summary: We were picked up on time by our wonderful hostess Terri. What a lovely lady. She was a wealth of information about Napier and the wineries. First stop Mission Estate, then Pask Winery (delicious) finishing at yet another winery. Then on arrival back to Napier we stopped at Good George brewery for some delicious beer. It was a very enjoyable day out and a lot of fun.
