Mazatlán, Sinaloa Beachfront Resort Day Pass with Lunch - Book Your Beach Day

Summary: I booked this tour last minute while on a Carnival Cruise. José the tour guide showed us around. We got to take pictures with beautiful city views. Went to the Cathedral. And then a beautiful resort with both pool and beach. 10/10 would recommend.

Summary: Our 15 family members did a van tour with Jorge Escudero (van #71) from the Carnival port in Mazatlan, Mexico Where we had a previous tour with Jorge about 6 months prior and had totally enjoyed our tour the 1st time and had an even BETTER time this time for our new family members who had never been to mazatlan. The credit goes to Jorge who totally took us exactly the right places just by instinct. Jorge also gave us a discount for using his services twice. WE SO Appreciated it in every way...our family would not have had the time to figure out where to go. Jorge took us to an amazing beach and lunch hotel, and then to Michaels downtown and tour around everywhere else several stops as well. We remain grateful for such a great guide in Jorge and look forward to going with him again and everyone should do the same, you will not be disappointed!!! Thank you SO much Jorge Escudero!!

Summary: Eduardo was a phenomenal driver and guide for our resort tour. He was very kind, funny and knowledgeable about the area. We were so grateful to be able to experience such a beautiful resort on the beach. The food was great! The scenery and the tour guide. Thank you for adding to our vacation experience! We appreciate how hard you all work. Definitely recommend!

Summary: Great beach and pool. The food at the restaurant was very good and the kids loved getting the drinks. Make sure they know what size of drinks you want because they might give you a large sized drink that will take up both of your drinks. The van driver was great and he returned exactly on time to take us back to the cruise terminal. Bring cash for tips and be prepared to be accosted by local vendors trying to sell you sand toys, jewelry, sunglasses, hair braiding, etc

Summary: Where to start ?? This was an absolutely wonderful excursion, from start to finish. We came to Mazatlán on the June 4th sailing of the Carnival Panorama. We decided to book this excursion on our own, instead of paying high prices on the Cruises Ship Website. And was this a fantastic choice. We we got off the ship, you had to take a tram to get to the Terminal Building. Once there, we checked in at the Mazatlan Van Tours desk. Since it was just my wife, our 4 year old daughter and myself, they assigned us to a private taxi for the day. Our driver was Enrique (aka... Robocop), and he was absolutely AMAZING !! He was very knowledgeable about Mazatlan, and gave us quite the City Tour on the way to the Resort. Once we got to the Las Flores Beach Resort, Enrique gave us a quick tour of the facilities and let us pick a table with some shade to get started. He got us completely checked in, and brought us our lunch and drink tickets that were included in the package. He told us the day is ours, to relax and enjoy the resort and told us he would be at the resort waiting for us when we were ready to go. Before he left us, he made sure we had towels and everything we needed before going on his way. Such amazing service is very rare in today's business climate. The pool was incredible, the food options for lunch were very good and the drinks were Heavenly. The resort is right on the beach, with plenty of lounge chairs and shade. This resort is definitely one I would consider staying at, if I return to Mazatlan on a land based visit. If you make it to Mazatlan, make sure you book this excursion. And definitely ask for Enrique as your guide. He is truly a Customer Service Professional, and his Company should be very proud to have him representing them.

Summary: We were transported from the cruise terminal in Mazatlán via van by Carlos, our careful driver and very nice guide. He went out of his way to make our stay as memorable as possible. The ride took about 25 minutes along the malecón (beach front highway). When we arrived at the Gaviana resort, we were given wristbands, towels and told that we could have two drinks each and a lunch. Then we were shown around, and headed to get a shady spot on the beach. That was somewhat of a challenge as other guests were also looking for shaded areas with lounge chairs. Of course, we also had access to the pools. At any rate, everything that was promised by Viator came to fruition. The beach was nice, especially the June water temperature. And the resort service, although not at a fancy 5 star location, was excellent. We spent a good 5 1/2 hours there, and were taken back to our ship on time. It was certainly worth the money.

Summary: Mazatlán stop on Ruby Princess December 21, 2021 Took port provided shuttle for the short ride through the working port to the entrance of the tourist (shopping) building. At the “Mazatlán Van Tours” counter presented our “Resort for a day” voucher and in about 15 minutes were picked up by a mini van driver Carlos Tirado Ochoa. By the way, this arrangement was made back home by offer from Cruises Only. Total cost was $150 minus $50 incentive for two people. So for $100 we had round trip ride with about 4.5 hrs. stay (could stay longer but it was enough for us) at the resort’s beach with chairs, umbrella and six items food menu and two drinks/ person. Selected Margaritas and Pacifico bears. It took some efforts to get through the waves near the shore just to get to the ocean in the morning, but ocean waves cooled down later in the day. The resort called Gaviana. Apparently, they do not sell day visit passes over there, so passes are available through the travel agency reservation back home in the US. I inquired the price of a day stay and was really surprised to find out that a very spacious room will cost me less than $30/night. Carlos came to pick us up few minutes before the pickup time. He made sure that we will have enough time to use the limited time in the Mazatlán. While we expected just a delivery driver, but instead we were treated to the interesting presentation about the history of the city provided by the very professional and friendly person. Carlos educated us about the Star of David in all 28 stained-glass windows of the Roman Catholic Church. Apparently, a Jewish family living in Mazatlán in 1856 donated more than 50% of funds needed for the construction. There are so much more to cover, but need to get some sleep. Tomorrow will stop at Puerto Vallarta. Good travels

Summary: They picked us up right at the pier. They made it easy. The resort was beautiful and the food was amazing. The bartenders were so nice! The only downside was that the gift shop did not accept credit cards and were unfamiliar as to how to give correct change back in US dollars. But besides that, everything was perfect!

Summary: This hotel was new for this excursion . The service was really good at Hotel Gaviana. Food was good. It is limited to lunch and two drinks per person. Any drinks or food beyond is on the customer. Beach access and pool access at no extra charge. Frank was very interested in our feedback for this trip and made sure we were taken care of.

Summary: First about the company - Greeted us, told us where we needed to be, etc. The driver was fantastic! Super knowledgeable about the area which made the drive entertaining. And he stayed at the resort the entire time to make sure if we had any questions he was there to help. Second the resort - not the best resort. Although towels were provided if needed, umbrellas had to be rented at a separate price. Tons and tons of vendors on the beach walking up to you every two seconds. Although I obviously understand tourism is a source of income it was very overwhelming and basically only way to relax was to go in the ocean. We chose not to get the lunch, and ordered from the resort on our own. There were 6 of us total and only one person said the food was good. I personally ordered guacamole and chips which I was very excited about, but it didn't even have the color of fresh avocado. I don't know what was mixed in it, but It just wasn't good. Two others had ceviche and they said it was mostly tomatoes and onions and only a piece or two of fish. Unseasoned. So that was a bummer. Not sure if the included lunch would have been better, but thinking if same chef it's unlikely. Overall not sure I'd do this excursion again, but the Tripadvisor service was fantastic.
