Explore the Dead Sea on a Half-Day Tour from Amman - Book Your Amman Excursion

Summary: A holy and historical land. It was my dream to visit wonderful Petra caves in Jordan. Floating in the Dead Sea, standing on the Nebo mountain, where once Moses stood looking at the Promised Land, roaming along the Jordan river where Jesus Christ was baptized... everything made me elated. The Citadel in Amman is another wonder. As a historian and archaeologist I loved these places. Jordan is nice, jordanians are good. Though the trip is slightly expensive, its worth. The hotels are good. Be careful with some yellow taxis, they try to cheat. Jordan is benefitting from tourism. The government should not think that all tourists are rich. Let them help old people use battery vehicles at a lower price. Let senior citizens be respected. Pestering locals is another problem. The Jordan Pass is not accepted in several important places like Nebo Mountain, Christ's Baptism place, Churches in Madaba, the Jordan Museum in Amman etc. However, the copper Dead Sea scross in Jordan Museum is another wonder for me. If I have time, I will visit Jordan again. Altogether Jordan is safe for tourists.

Summary: My private tour guide and driver Khaled Alwahsh was amazing courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable while bringing me to and from Amman to the Dead Sea. We made a couple of extra stops and he always gave me ample time to explore as this was a private tour on my own. It was very comfortable and Khaled was a very safe driver.

Summary: Mahmoud the driver was so kind and friendly, bought us a local falafel sandwich for breakfast. The Dead Sea Spa Resort was great too - have 2 hours there. P.S. beware of your belongings as unfortunately, a Jordanian local stole JD cash from my bag (very bad)

Summary: Bader, our private driver and guide, was the BEST Person we could have wished for! We highly admired his insights and opinions, and his great sense of humour! He was extremly kind to us, provided us coffee/juice, told us so many interesting things! We were wery happy to share our time with him. The resort was really nice, included several pools, changing facilities, and easy access to the Dead Sea via footpath.A very good buffet. Highly recommend! Thank you very much, dear Bader!

Summary: My driver, Faris, was amazing and very patient and knowledgeable. He spoke perfect English and could explain everything about the Dead Sea. He did a great job for us and made the trip smooth and fun. The company set up the tour the same day (two hours before). I have nothing but good things to say about the whole experience. The water was amazing, the mud get great, the hotel was enjoyable, food was great, and my driver was funny. You have to do this when in Amman; can’t miss this!

Summary: Lovely experience of the Dead Sea and it was amazing to be able to float on the sea water. The hotel provided the towel and changing room facilities were fine. At the beach they had the sun beds, bench and showers. The pool at the Dead Sea Spa hotel would be ideal for kids as it had slides etc. There was also a good pool for adults with sun beds. Food and drink options are available at the hotel which is extra to pay. I was picked up from the hotel by a driver Basel in his clean and comfortable car. Basel spoke very good English and we had many good conversations on our way to the Dead Sea and on the way back. Once at the hotel he checked in with the reception and ensured that I had no difficulty at the hotel. He waited at the hotel whilst I was at the pool and sea. I will recommend this tour. Summary: We actually visited the Dead Sea after we left the Wadi Rum desert where we did a jeep safari that morning. I searched for Dead Sea Jordan but kept coming up with Dead Sea Israel. I read some of the reviews on the Israel side and people complain it's overcrowded with tourists. This was not the case in Jordan. We had people but not overflowing. Also the area is very secure as our vehicle had to pass through security about 10 minutes before we arrived at the beach. For starters this is really an amazing experience. When you get into the water it's not even cold for December. I had just left the desert that morning and it was freezing so I thought it's crazy to come here. But the water temp is actually just right for swimming. The current there is strong enough to knock you off your feet. I saw lots of pieces of sticks along the shore. Now I know why. People could use those as a prop to walk into the water. Once you're in the water it pushes you down so you have no choice but to float which is better than drowning. I did see a lifeguard station there so that brought some ease. I tasted the water it's like brine that you find pickled cucumbers in. Oh and try not to get it into your eyes. Not far from the water there are some open air wash stations where you could wash the salt off your body before you head back to the locker room. I've never experienced anything like this in my life so I'm glad I visited. As I stated earlier it is not crowded like some people complain about the Israel side. Just the right amount of people and you can leave your stuff and camera there without worrying about it disappearing.

Summary: The trip was nice but short. Only spend 1-1.5 hours at Dead Sea. Location at club is great with sandy area, pool and decent facilities to shower/change. Nice driver. Just not enough time at Dead Sea.
