Summary: I have done a lot of rafting trips before and this company is truly one of the best! Mason was an INCREDIBLE guide- He debriefed each class 5 rapid with us, so we knew exactly what to expect. We felt safe, and had soooo much fun at the same time. He was professional, friendly and very skilled. We couldn't believe that he even goes down 65 foot waterfalls in a kayak on his own time, just for fun. Rob (the owner, I believe) has done an incredible job with the whole outfitters. They even take pictures and videos on the river that you can purchase later. He was so great at helping us feel welcome and safe the whole time. We will for sure be recommending this experience to all friends and family. We drive 4.5 hours one way just to go rafting on the upper Gauley with them and the next morning I woke up and said I would do it again- Truly the best experience ever! And I would go back with this company over the other local ones, too. So many people were falling out of rafts or getting stuck around us- No one on ours fell out or was scared even one time. We felt thrill while being safe the entire time.

Summary: Overall I really enjoyed. I signed up especially with WV Adventures because I thought Rob (owner) was down to earth and knowledgeable with a cool demeanor. Even though his description of camping grounds and extras included with tour (breakfast, food) we vague, rushed, his crew including Mason and Conner (guides) more than made up for my slightly sensitive N VA expectations. I recommend this group and am happy to support a more independent company vs. the bigger river companies. Also Mason’s enthusiasm for the river and New River Gorge environment is the only way to go!
