Summary: A great way to see Fraser Island. The tour is very convenient making seeing all the hot spots simple. There is a lot of driving between destinations, and majority of your day will be spent on the bus. It would be good if the bus had some music playing at times. The tour guide (we had Blair) was fantastic, very knowledgeable and passionate. It would be good to spend more time at lake Mackenzie as it’s so unique and beautiful. The buffet lunch is pretty simple, bring your own snacks for the bus. If you experience any motion sickness this might not be for you as all the roads are sand and 4WD

Summary: Our one-day tour to K’gari (Fraser Island) was an absolutely fantastic experience! Although I was tempted to explore the island myself by 4WD, I’m really glad we joined a guided tour. With our super friendly and knowledgeable driver Pete, we managed to see all the main highlights in just one day – the shipwreck, Lake McKenzie, Eli Creek (floating down with the tubes!), and Central Station – all before sunset. I was surprised by how much traffic there actually is on the sandy inland tracks. Getting stuck or having to reverse for hundreds of meters because of oncoming cars seems quite common, so having an experienced driver like Pete made the day totally stress-free. We even spotted wild dingoes on the beach at dusk – a real highlight! Our campsite at Rainbow Beach was perfectly located within walking distance of the tour’s departure point. All in all, a fantastic adventure and a big thank you to Pete for sharing so many stories and insights about the island. Highly recommended!
