Marrakech 3-Day Private Desert Tour from Fez

Summary: This tour was absolutely unforgettable. My wife and I are doing a one-year trip around the world and have been on many tours, and we are amazed at the quality of services, the variety of sites, and just the unbelievable beauty of Morocco itself. We booked a private tour and loved every minute of it. The Sahara luxury tent was better than many hotels we stayed in, spacious and beautiful. There was incredible food and the guys working there were so much fun and took such good care of us. At night they turn off the lights and we were able to see the Milky Way. October was perfect weather so the camel ride was very relaxing. They gave us the option to leave the camp by 4x4 instead of camel again and we went with that, which was lots of fun through the dunes. The hotel we stayed at the second night was beautiful with the most amazing view of the mountains, and again service was top-notch. I want to say that Authentic Sahara Tours is one of the best tour companies out there: professional, responsive, transparent, and very serious about customer satisfaction. But our absolute favorite thing about the whole tour was our driver and guide, Ismail. Despite spending a lot of time in the car, we never had a dull moment with him. We learned so much about Moroccan history and culture from him and had lots of laughs. He was very professional and very attentive, and knew when we wanted to relax and take it easy. He also made some suggestions for us along the way that we really appreciate (we LOVED the fossil museum, for example). It really felt like we were doing an incredible road trip with a good friend. There’s really not many negatives I could say. Yes there’s a lot of driving but we didn’t mind this. There are always incredible views and we had Ismail to talk to. There will be some moments when people might ask you to buy things, but they were never pushy about it. We always felt safe and well taken care of. Actually we felt amazed by the hospitality we received. I highly recommend this tour.

Summary: We had a great time with our guide Jamal. The desert was beautiful, and the camp was nicer than many hotels I have been to. Jamal knew a lot of great places and people and was always very transparent about what things were free and which cost some money. We would be happy to have Jamal as our guide everywhere!

Summary: There is truly no words for this once in a lifetime experience! We did our 3 day trip from Fes to Marrakech with legendary Aboubaker and it was the most magical time of our life. He is the absolute best driver we could’ve asked for - he is so well cultured and knows everything you would want to know about Morocco! He’s such a funny, sweet and reliable guy and made our trip a journey we will never forget. From the scenery, the history, the culture, the food, the people… it was so much better than we had could’ve ever hoped for.
