Summary: A fantastic hike to Kol Tor lake! And by hike, I mean HIKE! Farukh was a fantastic tour guide, who made the experience all the more enjoyable. Burana tower was as beautiful as the pictures suggest, with views right over the Tian Shan.

Summary: Our guide, Faruk, was kind and knowledgeable and spoke English very well. He brought us a lovely lunch and had plenty of water for the trip. The only negative was that he had a standard sedan car and so it was very slow going on the rough roads to Kol Tor. He was a very safe driver though.

Summary: Excellent hike with my guide Anvar! I can’t recommend this hike enough. Getting out to see more rural parts of Kyrgyzstan was remarkable and this hike gives those opportunities. Word of caution this is a more demanding hike, but the end is worth it.
