Important Information

  • You must be a certified diver (PADI Open Water or equivalent) with drysuit certification and recent logged drysuit dives; written proof may be requested before the tour.
  • All participants need to provide height, weight and age after booking so the operator can fit your drysuit; you’ll also complete a medical form and must be physically fit and able to swim.
  • Minimum age is 17 (under-18s require a guardian’s signature); travelers over 60 need a doctor’s approval. Pregnant travelers and those with serious cardiovascular or spinal issues should not participate.
  • Bring warm base layers and thick socks to wear under the drysuit; a heated changing van, necessary diving equipment, hot chocolate and cookies are provided, and the Silfra entrance fee is covered.

  • Dry suits are worn over your own clothing; we recommend wearing long thermal underwear and thick wool socks as a base layer under the drysuit
  • Please note that dry suits can sometimes feel quite tight and constricting
  • Recommended to bring a change of clothes and warm undergarments for after the activity
  • Participants aged 60 and older must have a doctor sign the approval form to participate
