Varoom launched in late 2021 with the goal to connect travelers with the very best destinations around the world helping them find the perfect place to stay and things to do. Varoom is an operating brand of Canadian-based UpNext Group. Since formation, we have helped connect millions of travelers to hotels, resorts, vacation rentals, and experience providers and more all around the world. Varoom lists inventory of hotels, resorts, rentals, and activities as provided by our partners (or direct from travel suppliers) and we refer traffic to their websites. At this time, we do not provide direct booking capabilities on our website, but rather elect to refer the traveler back to our partner or travel supplier to complete the trusted transaction. We want to make it easier for travelers to find the perfect place to stay, compare prices across websites, and help create a lasting travel memory.

To make changes to your reservation, please visit the partner’s website with whom you booked. As an affiliate provider, we consolidate multiple travel sites in one easy search; however, we cannot access your reservation information. Please check your email for reservation details to see the partner with whom you have booked. At this time, no bookings are made directly via our website, so we are unable to help you modify, cancel, or change a reservation.

We have listed the properties and travel activities from our partners, including many online travel agents (OTAs) and direct via channel managers who distribute their inventory onto sites like ours, and the entire UpNext Group network. It is likely that you had agreed for the added distribution when you signed up with their services. We refer all our visitors to our partners or direct to our property owner’s sites and do not take bookings on our site directly. Our job is to help them promote their inventory and sell more travel and ensure that fewer nights go un-booked or activities go unsold, regardless if the reservation is made at a hotel, resort, or rental. There is no additional cost to listing on our network.

If your travel experience or hotel, resort or rental property has been removed from a supplier’s website, it is possible that we still have cached the listing or are in the process of having it be removed from our website. In time, it will also be unpublished from our network of sites. If you would like to remove it faster, please contact us and we will see if we can help.

The listings on our website are provided to us by our partners and OTA travel supply relationships, including all places to stay and travel activities. If you are listed with one of our travel supply providers, you may see your activity, hotel, resort, or rental listed on our site which provides additional exposure for your inventory. There is no cost at present to list on Varoom.

If you still wish to remove your travel supply, you may want to contact the customer service of the travel distributor(s) where your inventory was listed and request removal from any affiliate or channel distribution. However, if you wish to remove your property from our site alone, you can send us a link to your property from our website at support@varoom.com.

Varoom currently lists activities and places to stay from more than 150,000 destinations from from our partners and a select network of online travel sellers. We are introducing functionality that will allow direct listings of activities and accommodation options via select channel managers, bringing even more properties and activities onto our network. Each activity, excursion, hotel, resort or rental property listed on our website has a detailed listing. These listings often include photos, amenities, property policies, and more. This information has been received from our travel supply partners, direct from the property or activity manager/owner themselves, or from information we have managed to find online about the property from multiple sources. This has also included information we may have extracted from analysing the images of the photos, the neighborhood in which the property is located, or similar properties in the same complex. However, Varoom is not responsible or liable for the accuracy of these results. While we attempt to be as accurate as possible, should you have a specific question or concern, we encourage you to contact the property owner directly via the website to which we refer you to.

We strive to show accurate pricing for any activity, excursion, hotel, resort, or rental based on the lowest nightly rate or lowest total we have been able to find for a property or activity. For the most accurate pricing, please input your date range and search for the property or the specific filters for a desired activity. You will be referred over to the partner or the supplier’s own website to confirm the specific pricing. We are working on functionality to find you the best price across multiple websites for the property you are interested in. Stay tuned as we refine this feature.

Varoom was launched in late 2021 building off more than 7 years of online travel experience on behalf of its parent company, UpNext Group, and a large network of sister websites. UpNext Group helps travelers find the perfect place to stay, easily comparing rentals, condos, hotels, RVs, boats, activities, and resorts across an ever-growing network of niche travel brands and websites. Varoom operates in multiple countries and languages.

Varoom relies on the eco-score created by One Degree Left, a sister-company operated by parent company UpNext Group. This score looks at a number of factors to help score all places to stay, including hotels, resorts, and rentals based on a variety of sustainability factors. In time, we would like to extend this to activities we market as well. We believe that we can help elevate properties and activities that have good environmental and sustainability practices. If we identify a property or activity that has good practices, we will rank that property or provider higher in our search results than other places to stay and things to do. By ranking this inventory higher, hopefully they will be booked with greater frequency and nudge behavior by a small factor… by ‘one degree’ if you will. While it is not perfect, it is part of our commitment to driving more sustainable travel.

We believe life is better when you venture out and explore the world. You meet other people, you connect with family and friends, you do more business, and you have new experiences. In short, travel creates memories. Travel brings people closer together and fosters better understanding of each other and ourselves.

Yes, Varoom still lists accommodations and places to stay. However, we are building Varoom into a marketplace for people interested in activities and adventure when they travel. The ‘Things-to-Do’ segment of travel represents ~$800B of the $2.4 trillion travel TAM and includes events, tickets, dining, conferences, sightseeing, sporting events, museums, tours, excursions, adventures, and more. These elements are often the reason ‘why’ people travel and from which they derive the greatest memories.

As we believe that better memories are made when we foster better travel, we believe we can help travelers during their stay, giving them products and services to enhance their experience. As a marketplace for activities and adventure, Varoom will connect people with things they want to do.

Like the short-term rentals market, the Activities and Things-to-do markets is highly fragmented and inefficient with millions of smaller operators each competing for awareness from travelers (restaurants, activities, tours, events, neighborhoods). And like the highly fragmented alternative accommodations market, it is relatively easy for a local provider to market to people nearby who are familiar, it is much more challenging to market internationally due to location and language barriers. Travelers conversely have questions around safety, FX, payments, and other trust mechanisms. We believe that as our technology advances to address the inefficiencies of accommodation, we will also be able to service the needs of travelers and activity providers in new and better ways.

At Varoom, we believe that if we can improve the efficiency of both the activities and accommodations markets, we will leave more money in the hands of the traveler, allowing more people to travel and travel more.
