This home’s location is both a botanist’s paradise and a fishing mecca as the Kalmiopsis Wilderness area is nearby for backpacking, hunting, fishing, and more. Fish for steelhead, sturgeon, and salmon in the rivers and cod, snapper, and tuna in the ocean. Oregon provides free fishing dates during Thanksgiving weekend, President’s weekend, Memorial weekend and the first day of June, while California has free fishing on the 4th of July and Memorial weekend. The property also provides an outdoor sink so you can clean game and fish.
The surrounding area hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including a CHRISTMAS LIGHT SHOW at Azalea Park, the WINDSURFING CHAMPIONSHIP every June, a WILD SALMON RUN FESTIVAL in September, and much more. Crescent City lies about 20 miles away and hosts a variety of unique activities for you to explore. There's free fishing in all the ponds, rivers, ocean, and the B Street Pier year-round, agate hunting in the winter and sand dollar hunting in the spring, crabbing, clamming, grey whale watching, and tours of the Battery Point Lighthouse by appointment.
