You're a short walk to the community park, where the kids can burn off some energy swimming in the community pool and doing tricks at the skate park. Right in your backyard is the Port Aransas Nature Preserve, with a boardwalk across the flats, Salt Island viewing tower, and Salt Island observation deck. You can also pay a visit to the Leonabelle Turnbell Birding Center to view tons of local birds and even some fish in the marshy swamp area.
