2 Bedroom Apartment in Derby
This bright, modern ground floor apartment 5 minutes’ walk away from the Cathedral Quarter in the centre of Derby. It has two bedrooms – one double and one twin and there is an en-suite shower room to the master bedroom. New in June 2019 are Plantation security shutters to the bedroom windows. Although the flat is in a good neighbourhood, we are aware that guests are unhappy about sleeping with windows open as the flat is on the ground floor. Plantation shutters look like the popular wooden shutters that many home owners have installed but they are made of aluminium and are lockable. This means that the windows can be open at night without compromising security. In addition to the en-suite shower room, there is a further bathroom with a bath with shower over. The kitchen has a cooker, hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and microwave and there is also a washing machine in the hall cupboard. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. There is one secure allocated parking space which enables guests to park for free within a short walk of Derby Centre (it is a narrow space so unsuitable for a very large car).
Access to the apartment is by a key code and there is a table and WiFi making it suitable and convenient for business travelers as well as families. There is a smart television. The apartment is professionally cleaned between stays and comfy beds, quality bed linen and towels are provided as well as toiletries, tea and coffee. There is a small convenience store just across the road from the apartment block for basic supplies.
We will be delighted to welcome you to our apartment but will be unable to welcome you in person as we do not live nearby. We are happy for guests to ring at any time in the unlikely event there are any concerns and do have someone on-hand who lives nearby in the event of an emergency.
There is plenty to do in the area and it is well worth a visit. The apartment is in the desirable area of Chester Green with the beautiful Darley Park close by. Derby Centre has numerous shops, restaurants, cafes offering great local produce, clothes, shoes, gifts, crafts and more. It is a vibrant place and various events take place throughout the year in Derby. It is proud to have one of the oldest independent department store in the UK, Bennetts, which has existed since 1734. Derby also has an array of markets including indoor, farmers and night markets. If you prefer shopping malls for your purchases, Derbion Derby has plenty to keep you happy.
For sightseeing, our apartment is perfectly located. Derby Cathedral is beautiful and there are several museums to visit. If you want to use the apartment as a base and travel further out, the Peak District offers stunning scenery and wonderful walks. Chatsworth House is well worth a visit, especially when the gardens are in full bloom.
