The cottage was built in 1890, and for 40 years prior to 2008 it was used as a doctor’s surgery before being transformed to provide a spacious, contemporary and comfortable family home, and now holiday accommodation. Downstairs, the cosy living area provides a delightful space for relaxing by the wood burner, and the bright open-plan kitchen and dining area is perfect to practice your cooking skills. From the cottage you can walk to the golf course, try catching fish on the river, enjoy woodland and riverside walks or more ambitious hill walking through beautiful scenery, or visit the vibrant town centre with an abundance of cafés, pubs, shops and restaurants. Throughout the year, the town hosts festivals to suit many tastes, including Summer and Winter Fests, a highland games and a jazz festival. Just a short drive, and perfect for children of all ages, is the Blair Drummond Safari Park. There are also many historic and ancient sites to visit including Doune and Stirling Castles, Wallace Monument and Inchmaholm Priory. The vibrant city of Edinburgh can be reached in 53 miles, or Glasgow in 42 miles and there are good public transport links from Stirling.
