Beautiful dream house with a small pool for 1-4 people in a top location by the sea. This attractive, detached two-bedroom bungalow is just a few minutes' walk from the beach in Tavronitis (approx. 250 metres). It has a large roof terrace, two small gardens with terraces (a garden with terrace in front of the house and behind the house the completely fenced terrace and pool area with a breathtaking sea view), direct distance to the sea under 100m, distance to the sand/gravel beach with taverna and sun loungers 450m). Around the house you will find several seating areas with garden furniture on the terraces or roof terrace as well as 4 sun loungers and 1 parasol to enjoy the shade or sun, depending on your mood. There are 2 beach bars on the nearby sandy/pebble beach. There you will find everything you need for a day by the sea. Of course, sun loungers with parasols are also available to beach bar guests free of charge (as of summer 2023). The house is located away from through traffic, at the end of a cul-de-sac, in a small private complex (partly owner-occupied, partly holiday home rental) and is only a few minutes' walk from all amenities (tavernas, kafenion, bakery, butcher, mini/supermarket) of the village of Tavronitis. This charming property with the typical Greek blue and white colour scheme consists of two bedrooms each with 1 double bed (1.6x2 m with soft mattress, 1.4x2 m with hard mattress) fitted wardrobes, two bathrooms each with WC, washbasin, shower (with proper shower screen), fully equipped fitted kitchen (including dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, etc.) and living room with 2 sofas, 46 inch satellite TV (Astra) with home cinema system. All this on one level. When you reach the property, you are greeted by a beautiful garden surrounding the house. You enter the house and see the stylishly furnished open plan living room / dining room equipped with a wood burning stove and air conditioning. Many windows and French sliding doors guarantee the constant flow of light in the house. To the right, separated from the living area by a breakfast bar, is the fully equipped U-shaped kitchen with plenty of storage space. A small hall leads to the 2 bedrooms, each with a shower room with WC. The master bedroom is furnished with a double bed, make-up mirror, bedside tables, a 4-door floor-to-ceiling wardrobe, a door leading to a terrace with an open pergola and an en-suite shower room with an electric towel rail. The second bedroom with double bed, bedside tables and ample built-in wardrobe also has its own terrace access, as well as a dressing table. Since season 2021 also with a safe for your valuables. The use of the safe is already included in the rental price. There is also a private shower room with an electric towel rail. The entire interior is furnished to a high standard and tastefully, so that our guests can feel like they are in a "feel-good home" on holiday. The north-facing main terrace is a place for outdoor living. The views of the sea, which is only about 100 metres away, are magnificent and the sunsets are absolutely breathtaking. The bamboo-covered pergola offers a seating area with patio furniture and, next to it, a dining table covered by an awning. This is the ideal place to eat and drink. The wall to the neighbour not only provides shade but, together with the wooden patio gate, guarantees good privacy. The entire property is tiled with natural stone floors. Under the stairs to the roof terrace is the utility room with freezer and washing machine. In the garden is the above-ground pool (pool only in high season, May-October) with sea views, garden furniture with matching cushions, a wooden garden shed (for caretaker service only) and a charcoal barbecue. Tiled steps lead up to the roof terrace with terracotta tiles. Under an open pergola, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the sea, the Rodopos peninsula and the unique sunsets. The house is detached, far from through traffic and in a prime location, only about 250 metres walk from the sea (100m as the crow flies) and about 650 metres walk (10 min on a leisurely stroll) from the village centre.
Well-kept house, with pool-terrace area and large roof terrace. Authentic Crete without mass tourism, but only 20 minutes from Chania and 40 minutes from Chania airport. The house is registered for holiday home rental in the Greek Short Term Rental Property Register. Therefore, no services may be offered on site (linen change, intermediate cleaning, final cleaning, transfer...). However, there are enough fresh towels and bed linen in the house, a final cleaning is not necessary. The house only needs to be left swept clean. You can order any intermediate cleaning you require directly from a cleaning service for a small fee. Due to the new hygiene regulations around Convid 19, the Greek government has recommended new check-in / check-out times by government decree.

The coastal village of Tavronitis, which starts about 250 metres from the accommodation, is a typical Greek village that does not "shut down" even in winter and offers all amenities. The village has been growing steadily in the outdoor areas for about 2 years. Some new holiday homes are being built. The village beach consists of sand and pebbles and crystal clear water. Tavronitis also has an exit/exit from the motorway to Chania and Kissamos, from where you can reach the centre of the city of Chania, with its beautiful Venetian harbour, in about 20 minutes and the airport in about 40 minutes. It is located in the west of Crete and belongs to the municipality of Platanias. Tavronitis is a traditional, quiet, small village with several tavernas, bakeries, butchers, supermarkets, hairdressers, chemists, dry cleaners and small shops. The sandy/pebble beach of Tavronitis (extends to the coastal town of Kolimbari), there is a small promenade on the beach and 2 beach tavernas. The water quality in the area is excellent. We like to use this sand/gravel beach ourselves, as it is not overcrowded. The hinterland of Tavronitis is ideal for hiking and cycling. Enjoy the well-known nature reserves such as the Imbros Gorge (approx. 80 km/60 minutes by car), the Samaria Gorge (approx. 60 km/45 minutes by car) and visit the natural monument, the oldest olive tree (it is only a few kilometres away in the village square of Vouves and has a diameter of 3.64 metres and a circumference of 12.5 metres). The famous dream beaches of Falasarna and Elafonsi are only 32km/40 minutes by car and 65km / 80 minutes by car respectively. The birthplace of the sirtaki in the village of Stafros with its beautiful beach and tavernas is only 35km/45 minutes away by car. Many northern Europeans have built their second homes in the hinterland of Tavronitis and Kolimbari, which is no coincidence. You can easily reach Tavronitis by bus, which runs regularly from Chania, or by taxi. Another option is to hire a car or motorbike.
