Positive: The room was very clean.
Negative: This was a unique situation as 14 hours before we travelled to Switzerland, our original accommodation that was booked in January was cancelled by Booking.com!! This was the last room in the St Gallen area (we were going for Women's Euros) - but the price was inflated and way over what it should have been at 1834 CHF for 2 nights!! This felt like a profitering rip off. But I had no choice but to book it. The room was supposed to have a sofa bed. My daughter is not fussy normally, but she lay on it and said it was too hard - I tried it - yes, it was as hard as a table and not sleepable on. There were no water glasses, no mini fridge, no safe, no aircon (until requested and it turned up on day 2) the curtains didn't cover the entire windows, the towels were very thin, small and not at all 'boutique'! There was in fact, nothing boutique at all about the room. There is a restaurant that is not open and looks nothing like the photos, as half the chairs and tables are missing. There is a reception, but no one is ever there. We received no instructions on checking in, so we had to make some frantic phone calls to find out how to access the room - not ideal when travelling with a 9 year old child. On the plus side, the man who helped on the phone was very nice. But we didn't see anyone the entire time we stayed there! On the second night there was an almighty crash in the middle of the night, when I went to the bathroom in the morning I discovered that the mirror that was stuck to the wall in the alcove next to the shower had fallen off and there was glass all over the floor - massive shards and small shards - I was very lucky that I had not visited the toilet in the night - I would have had a serious injury. There was a bus stop opposite and the train station was a short walk. This would be fine for a night's stay, but I would not advise any longer.
