Positive: It was a nice place. Very cosy, which we were wanting. Very warm with the log fire. The bedroom was nice and large. The views from the windows (after we took down all the window coverings) were fabulous. The views were the best part of the place. The host was very friendly and helpful.
Negative: It was advertised as a 2 bedroom place and it was not 2 bedrooms as we were expecting. It is one lovely large bedroom with a large bed but no other bedroom. There are other beds; a sofa bed in the lounge with the fire which was really uncomfortable and impossible to sleep in and 2 single bunk beds in a sort of hallway. Not what we were looking for at all. We wanted 2 separate bedrooms. There were a few things that were annoying. - there was no working lighter when we arrived and we had to go to the trouble of going out to find one at night which was really annoying - there were no wine or champagne glasses - there are 2 kitchens/living areas and they had turned the gas off in the one we wanted to use (it had the oven and was in the lounge with the fire) and we had to argue with them to get it turned back on so we could use that stove top in the same kitchen we were using. They eventually turned it on for us. - the quality of the plates and kitchenware is not high and a bit of a mishmash of different things. They had all plastic plates in one kitchen. Not what I expect when paying the price they charge. - It states it has a private spa and sauna but these are not included in the price but is charged at 100€/night for each of them. That was way too ridiculous an amount to be worth it. - Don't expect it to look like it does in the photos. They are staged and not at all what the place actually looks like and what the furniture looks like, except for the bedroom. - you couldn't park at the property. we had to park a little down the road. It's not far but be prepared for a little walk with all of your stuff. It was a shame we had to deal with these things because apart from that it was nice enough.
Summary: A pleasant enough stay although it did not match the expectations set by the photos and description.
