The cottage is a real old bakery where the bread was made for the inhabitants of the hamlet. It has been completely renovated and can accommodate 4 people in an old stone style.
You like tranquility, you like strolling in a flowered garden, enjoying the Périgord countryside while being close to tourist places ... look no further, 'Le Fournil' will meet your expectations.
The hamlet of Eylias has 5 houses ... as much to tell you that we are quiet. Here is the countryside. It is the song of birds, roosters, frogs in the pond and a lovely air of nature that will rock your days.
Strolling in the hamlet is very pleasant, the little pond near the cottage is full of bio diversity.

The gîte is close to the village of Eymet (3km), a real 13th century country house. A magnificent village where the Dropt flows peacefully. You will love the traditional Thursday morning market over 100 years old and Tuesday evening is the night market.
The gîte is adjoining the owners' house.
The garden is only for you and it is enclosed by a pretty stone wall. You can park two cars without any problem.
We will give you the best sites to taste good wine and good foie gras according to your desires.
The owners will be available to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Linen can be at your disposal. 8 euros per bed with towels. For end of stay cleaning it is possible to have a cleaning lady for 30 euros. If this is the case, please notify a few days before your departure. In all cases, the gîte must be left clean and the bins emptied. Thank you

Summary: We had chosen Eymet as we were considering moving to the area in the next few years, our first 2 choices of accommodation had been cancelled, so this very rustic Gite was the only option. The host was lovely, but the Gite was so dark and dismal, no tv, no Wi-Fi,no radio, no music, no good indoor lighting for reading, no comfy sofas or seating inside the Gite, the kitchen was basic, not clean, we had to clean it before we used anything, that included plates, glasses etc. The shower, loo and wash basin were in a cupboard under the stairs, again this space was not clean, the actual loo, basin and shower were only clean bits in the space, the shower did not work, just a trickle of water, the loo was powered by a motor, so very loud. The bed was comfy, sheets and towels clean, again not clean, full of dust and cobwebs. The outside space was lovely and we spent all our time outside, only venturing in for sleeping. There is no spa pool just an old water well. We were charged for cleaning and sheets and towels. There were lovely farm cats, they were lovely company of an evening, one was old and poorly looking. This was my first ever experience of Gite life, and it’s my last, I think I’m made for either camping or hotels, I’ve cancelled my next Gite holiday.
