The Property is 15-25 minutes away from the city centre as well as most of the Canberra's popular Attractions.
Guest Access:
You'll have full access to the unit with fully equipped kitchen and appliances. There is a secured car garage (for two cars), and a lockbox for self check in. There are plenty of street car park around.
Please note, the unit shares a wall with a long term residents unit, however all areas accessible to you (unit & backyard) are not shared.
You have access to the garage, however there is no internal access from the garage into the unit. The laundry for the long term rental is also located in the garage in the corner.
The Neighborhood:
Located only a 20 minute drive from the Canberra City Centre and just a 4 minute drive from Gungahlin Town Centre, the suburb of Moncrieff offers everything from natural beauty to proximity to highly sought-after amenities. Moncrieff is home to the Moncrieff Community Recreation Park which was voted the ACT’s Favourite Playground in 2021.
Moncrieff is one of Canberra’s newer suburbs, designed to make the most of the area’s existing hilltops, ridges and open spaces. Moncrieff walk is one of the popular among the locals. This loop walk takes you through streets, playgrounds, up hills and by wetlands and Ginninderra Creek. You will also pass Wagi Bridge. The total duration of the walk is about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Award winning Moncrieff Community Recreation Park, couple of minutes walking from the property, has enormous slides, rope bridges, and a ‘Learn to Ride’ track running around the outside of the park. There is also a section for younger kids with smaller slides, toddler swings and spongy mounds to climb up. Just near the playground is a basketball court, volleyball courts, table tennis tables and a cricket pitch.
While not located in the suburb itself, a number of breath taking nature opportunities surround Moncrieff. Hill Top Reserve is only a short drive, while Canberra Nature Park is less than 12 minutes drive. Meanwhile, Lake Ginninderra Peninsula is located to the southwest.
You’ll love walking around the beautiful lake called Yarabi Pond. There are lovely water views, children’s playgrounds & picnic areas. Good foot and bicycle paths for walking, jogging and cycling. It’s a relaxing and family friendly park. The Yerrabi Pond Loop is a paved, flat walk for about 5.5 km. A great place that everyone can enjoy!
