Haveringland Castle at Moat Island is now open!
Located in our area called "The Dell" where there is more accommodation if you want to hire with a group of friends or family.
You can sleep or dine in the tower under the stars and live like real Kings & Queens!

The table in the tower is easily removed to become a double bed, there is a kingsize bed downstairs and a lovely futon company chair the becomes a single bed. All bedding is supplied!
You have your own Kitchen inside with a microwave oven/grill, two hobs fridge, and all the bits you need for a banquette in a castle. The wood burner will keep you toasty in the cold evenings and throughout the winter.
You have the use of the luxury heated loo and shower block a short walk away and you have a compost loo next to the Castle.
Of course, you are welcome to explore the site and swim in the natural swimming pond!
The wood-burner will keep you toasty warm inside throughout the colder months along with the lovely feather duvets. You have use of your own fire bowl outside.
As well as your own fire bowl that you can BBQ on there is a large communal fire pit area. We can set up a big fire for you and your friends & family for an extra cost of £120.
There is one other Cabin in this area & on the other side of the track from The Dell area we have 5 glamping tents on and around a moated island and a Natural swimming pond which you are of course welcome to use during your stay!
Please bring your own torch. There are fairy lights around the site but it's still quite dark in places at night!
Fire wood for the wood burners & fire pits can be purchased on site.
Moat Island glamping offers a range of luxury accomodation that is fully immersed in nature on and around our medievel moat. Stay in our truly unique Castle on wheels "Haveringland Castle", our Cabin By The Del with wood fired hot-tub, one of our four fully furnished 6m Lotus Belle tents or our 6m unfurnished bring your own bed tent right next to our natural swimming pool. All of our units have lights, electric, a woodburner inside and all of our tents have a lovely quited insulated liner too.
Each of our furnished glamping units can sleep up to 5 people with a King Size bed, a double futon sofa bed and a singe futon sofa bed inside. All bedding is provided and is all lovely 100% cotton and cosy feather down.
They all have thier own table and chairs outside as well as benches by your own private fire bowl with BBQ tripod.
The unfurnished (BYOB) tent is our cheapest option and is a blank canvas for you to bring your own things to create your own magical space within! This one sleeps upto six inside.
Moat Islands pièce de résistance is their naturally filtered swimming pond and jetty which everyone loves to jump in off to enjoy a peaceful sunset swim. The swimming zone is two meters deep with native plants in the shallow margins attracting dragonflies that flutter past you whilst you swim.
The enclosed ecosystem the pool creates is all part of the effort they have made to keep things eco so you and your loved ones can really connect with nature.
There are power showers and flushing loos housed in the super-luxury washrooms as well as the eco option of compost loos close by to where you are staying.
You also have the use of the top-spec camp kitchen featuring a range cooker & your own fridge freezer! The work surfaces are repurposed snooker table slates. They have created a unique glampsite steeped in history & wildlife waiting for you to reconnect with nature in comfort and style!
