Historic home on 2+ wooded acres w/ pool in heart of Nacogdoches | House in Nacogdoches

4 Bedroom House in Nacogdoches
This spacious home sits on 2+ wooded acres in the center of Nacogdoches. The property is walking distance (north) to SFA University campus, (south) to the historic Nacogdoches downtown, (east) to Pecan Park/Lanana Creek/the Lanana Creek Trail, and (west) to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. The large wooded property provides tons of space and privacy with an in-ground pool and private gated access to the expansive Pecan Park (our property backs up to the park) and beautiful Lanana Creek Trail. The trail is great for runners and walkers alike and takes you through a scenic tour of the middle of Nacogdoches. Pecan Park also has a nice Frisbee golf course, if that's your jam.
Guests will enjoy a historic home with a recently renovated kitchen. The home has two separate master suites, one downstairs and one up. Here is a breakdown of the sleeping accommodations:
- Downstairs master: king size bed and comfortable sofa. In the photos, this is the room with the purple bedspread and the pink tile bathroom.
- Upstairs master: king size bed. In the photos, this is the room with the light blue and white color scheme, with the white bathroom. Small, temperature-controlled side room has optional toddler bed and crib (and a large desk).
- Upstairs guest room 1: queen size bed. In the photos, this is the room with the turquoise walls.
- Upstairs guest room 2: two twin beds, comfortable sofa, and crib.
- Formal living room: two comfortable sofas.
The home has a rich history. It was originally built in approximately 1941 by a prominent Nacogdoches family. It was then sold to the First Baptist Church in 1957 and then used as the church's parsonage for almost 20 years. In the 1970s, the home was purchased by one of the first specially trained surgeons in Nacogdoches. It remained in his family for more than 40 years, during which time the property fell into poor condition. Our family purchased the property in 2018 and began the gradual restoration process. We have worked very hard since we purchased it, and our work will continue for many years to come. It is a creaky old home with strong bones, ample space both indoors and out, and in an unbeatable location, all offered for considerably less than what a family would spend per person for comparable hotel space.
We love our home and our neighbors, and we hope that you will also! Please note that this home is not suitable for loud or rowdy gatherings, or for any gathering in which alcohol may be consumed to excess. Instead, it is a peaceful, convenient location for making cherished family memories. The home is fully furnished, and utilities + wifi are included. Guests interested in rentals of longer than 30 consecutive days , please feel free to message us to inquire about long-term furnished rental rates.
We very much enjoy having a glimpse into who you are! In your request to book, please consider helping us by including a short description of the guests in your group and what brings you to town.
