This property has been dear to our hearts for over 2 decades. We have recently completely renovated this home, inside and out. Located in one of the most desirable areas in Oliphant, Ontario within the South Bruce Peninsula - the lake is right at your doorstep. Very close to the famous sauble beach. This beautiful home is the perfect option for your family vacation :)
The Space:
Wish Lakehouse has 4 bedrooms and comfortably accommodates up to 10 people.
The master bedroom is located on the main floor and has an en-suite bathroom. Upstairs, there are 3 more bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms.
The Wish Lakehouse is decorated to create a whimsical, fairytale-inspired experience that you and your family will keep in your memories forever. No detail has been forgotten! Wish will whisk you into a dream with its pastel colors; life-sized unicorn (named Sugarboots); an assortment of macramé hangings; delicate, translucent-white curtains throughout, and mesmerizing sunsets over Lake Huron - you'll be sure to fall in love!
Not just for summer vacation, Oliphant and the South Bruce Peninsula offer wonderful winter activities, as well: from snowshoeing; cross country skiing; snow snowmobiling; skating; and walking the beautiful nearby trails, you’ll be delighted with all the area has to offer. We are located directly across the street from lake which offers swimming and other water activities.
Enjoy a great nature walk - an excellent spot to bird watch and search for local wildlife. Even though Oliphant Ontario has become popular with kiteboarders it is also an ideal location for a family beach day. The shallow waters make it excellent for young swimmers.
The backyard is rustic and woodsy with a hot tub, BBQ, fire pit, and a huge, covered porch offering amazing views of the lake and sunsets. We have 2 adult bicycles for you to enjoy, too. Here you can light a bonfire, soak in the hot tub, gaze at the stars, and feel the peace of mind that comes with being the outdoors.

Inside you’ll enjoy a fully equipped home that is decorated to create a fairytale experience. Connect with your loved ones while enjoying Wish Lakehouse. No TV means listening to the quiet or the amazing sounds of nature, communicating with each other, playing one of the board games provided or cooking and creating as a group.
Meals will be much different here than in the city, but we have all the tools you’ll need. Wish has all of the modern comforts including a brand-new custom kitchen with dishwasher, new oven, fridge, microwave, and washer and dryer; amazing open concept living and dining areas.
We are located directly across the street from lake which offers swimming and other water activities.

** Please also note, we are particularly careful and cautious with hygiene and cleanliness. All duvet covers sheets pillowcases and blankets are washed thoroughly and cleaned prior to our new guests arriving.
***We are on well water. The water is regularly and it is safe to drink. If well water bothers you then its ideal for you get extra drinking water. We are on well water and rural Ontario septic system pipes, which differs from city septic. The water is safe to drink, however has a natural sulfur smell (high mineral content) which is common in this area. Also, be mindful of how many taps you are using at once and refrain from running multiple water supplies at the same time (i.e.. both showers, kitchen or washer) as all this can be a lot for a cottage system. Please put only toilet paper down the toilet – feminine products and wipes should be discarded via waste basket.

Greig’s Caves - About an hour’s drive from the cottage, but well worth it with breathtaking views about 300 feet above the sparkling waters of Georgian Bay; Sauble Falls –the perfect base camp for visits to nearby Sauble Beach and to explore the Bruce Peninsula.

House Guidelines:
- Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited within the unit or near exits. If you smoke outside please do not leave butts outside
- Kindly show consideration for your neighbors by maintaining reasonable noise levels.
- Parties are not permitted. You will be fined by Bylaws
- Replacement fees will apply for any missing or damaged amenities, utilities, or equipment.
- Towels, sheets, pillows, and toiletries are provided for your use during your stay. Please refrain from taking them. Missing items will incur fees. - Always close the garage door after garbage disposal to avoid additional cleaning fees - If you are accompanied by pets, please pick up after them.
- Max. 3 cars (less in winters) Upon arrival please park in the driveway.
- We welcome furry friends for a pet fee, as it helps cover the extra 1-2 hour long cleaning /labor after checkout.
- Please note we are on well water and rural septic system. DO NOT flush anything down the toilet other than toilet paper it will clog and you will be charged.
- Exercise caution when venturing into the woods or the water
Note: We have landscaping contractors who will be at the property weekly.
If you enjoy an evening on the porch, please clean up afterward. Do not leave any food or garbage out overnight. We are sharing this beautiful land with the bear, deer, birds, chipmunks and other wildlife who seemingly do not read the house rules - they make a huge mess with garbage and can become sick when they consume it.
Interior contents include sentimental pieces, please enjoy everything with care.
You MUST say hello to everyone you see!
You MUST stop and listen to the silence – which is filled with noise (rustling leaves & chirping birds)!
You MUST take several long stretches in front of one of the many windows – take in the fresh air and the serene view!
You MUST NOT host any parties or events.
You MUST NOT light any candles or burn anything inside the property (house-fires are a vibe-killer).
Check-out instructions will be sent to you regarding how to take care of garbage and how to close the cottage. You must check-out promptly at 11:00 am – failure to do so will result in a $150 surcharge for cleaning. Our crew have a limited time to clean and sanitize before the next guest. Please keep an eye on the time on checkout day!
Finally - and importantly - our life-sized unicorn, Sugarboots-Sparklefarts, has asked that you do not attempt to ride him. He says, " I am a marvelous beast, and I shine with wisdom and strength; but I'll carry only little ones - of appropriate size and length.” (That's under 80 lbs, please - with adult supervision, of course.)
