Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The house and the grounds are beautiful. The bed is comfortable and the room is spacious. The bathroom is large but would be a shared bathroom if you have a group of 4. We had the island to ourselves for 5 days. The food prepared by Fatima had been delicious. The view of Mombacho is a great site to see throughout the day. The pool is refreshing and pairs perfectly with the never ending breeze. The kayaks were fun to explore the other islands. Raul had been helpful with the kayaks as well as being the boat captain taking you back and forth from the island to the mainland. The star gazing is phenomenal. Just a few suggestions … a log book, binoculars, board games/cards and hammocks
Negative: The communication had been very sporadic. From asking for directions to the location, booking tours, dealing with issues on the island and checking out, the communication became stressful. At times we would message about something around 1pm and not get a reply until 9pm. We were left without WiFi for two days and without running water for roughly 14 hours. On arrival we were told we would need to get our own groceries for the island (after traveling for 7 hours). On checkout we were asked to pay via PayPal, instead of card, which had been an app I didn’t have and caused delays in our departing transport. There is also no hot water in the bathrooms. There is loud boats playing loud music going by the island all day long.
Summary: Great stay at a great location with a few flaws
