The apartment is located just opposite the famous “Bálna” (Whale) along the bank of the Danube on the 3rd floor of a quiet building. There are lots of restaurants, bars, and cafes inside and around the Bálna, and in the Ráday street, and the famous Váci street both only two-three blocks away. You can even find good cafes in our building along with a hairdressing and beauty salon and a bar. The Corvinus University of Budapest, the Budapest Music Center (BMC) and the Central Market Hall are virtually next door. The supermarket "SPAR" is in the corner of the building, which makes it easier for you to find snacks, fresh fruits, and vegetables at a moderate price just by steps. Most of the attractions can be reached by foot, however, for those who prefer traveling by public transport the stops of tram № 47-49 and № 2, of which line is considered as the most scenic tram journey in Europe and listed in the “Top 10 Trolley Rides from National Geographic” are in three-four minutes walk as well as the station of metro line № 4.

Summary: The property is in a nice quiet location about 15 mins walk to restaurants and main areas. Also close to the River where you can jump on a tram. A little bit out of town if you wanted an area with more happening. It was fine for us as we didn’t mind the walk. There was also a Spar shop very close that was handy. The flat is on the 4th floor and there is a lift if you did’t fancy the steps. The apartment was mostly clean and tidy and had everything we needed. The sauna was an extra bonus! In its day this apartment would have been very modern but now showing a little wear and tear. However, the main bed was very comfy and smaller bed fine for younger members of our family. It also is a sofa bed which we found useful.
