How far is "Mariners Way" from the ocean?
When you drive into the property you will understand the proximity to the water. When in our home, you can see the water through the windows! The river is in the backyard which connects to the intercoastal. In a 15-minute boat ride you will be on the open ocean in the beautiful S. FL waters which is known for some of the best fishing in the world as we are so close to the gulf stream which is about 5 miles off the coast.
Can we cook at the house? BBQ outside?
Absolutely! The kitchen is fully equipped with your standard plates, bowls, utensils, wine glasses, cups, pots, pans, and much more. All appliances are ready to be used! We have a BBQ grill to enjoy in our outdoor deck area. Propane will be provided. In the kitchen, you will find a microwave, and coffee maker complete with Keurig pods!
Is it suitable for children?
We have had several families and friends stay at our home. With the private property, there is room for outdoor activities for the kids. As with all houses situated near a street, please always be cautious of the kiddos getting near the road and provide supervision. The interior of the home has open spaces for the children to play and make themselves at home. Please be considerate of the dock and river. Always wear life jackets when using the kayaks or going on the water.
Are there any games or other activities at the house?
You bet! We have board games (our personal favorites), yard games, and more.
What about outside? Is there ample seating?
Yes, we have you covered! We have a beautiful patio set with comfy chairs for you to kick back and relax. We also have a picnic table for your family's outdoor enjoyment and Adirondack chairs for afternoon naps.
What about the TV/Movie situation?
Great news, all of our TVs are “Smart TVs” which allow you to access Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, or whatever networks you are subscribed to!
Are pets allowed?
Yes, we do allow pets under certain restrictions! We are proud owners of two rescue puppies ourselves and understand the desire to have your furbabies on vacation with you. Please mention that you would like to bring a pet with you before booking to answer a few brief questions to see if your particular pet fits our requirements. Any dogs must be leashed at all times outside and cleaned up immediately. There is a $75 pet cleaning fee and additional fees may apply for any damages or pet rules broken.
