The Space:
Enjoy the comforts of modern living with our array of luxurious amenities. Mountain Haus is the perfect home for larger families and groups looking for the perfect getaway! Need more space? There is also a separate studio unit on the property you can book with the combined listing - feel free to message us about it.
The home consist of 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, with the star of the show being the large, open kitchen with adjoining sitting room. The kitchen features a 12 foot island with its own sink and seating for 10, a beautiful Italian imported gas stove, and stainless steel appliances. There is also a wet bar that has instant hot water for your tea and coffee needs.
The master bedroom has an on suite bathroom, a king size bed, built in fireplace, and it's OWN private balcony. There are 5 other bedrooms throughout the home, allowing for everyone to have their own space! There is also a washer and dryer on site for convenience.
Once you step out onto our VERY spacious outdoor covered deck you'll find yourself never wanting to leave. You'll love the mountain views of the Wasatch mountain range and the beauty of Utah's serene nature overlooking the woods and the pond and fire pit in the back yard. The deck features an outdoor kitchen PLUS grill, a built in fireplace to cozy up around, hot tub, and a ton of seating to host your whole group. This area is perfect for that sunrise coffee and sunset dinner time.
The basement has a brand new game room complete with a pool table that can also be converted to ping pong, a 2-player basketball shooter game, and a large arcade game with all the classics! The game room also features a 65 inch smart TV, board and card games, a mini fridge to maximize the fun zone.
And if you're looking to stay fit during your stay - you'll love the updated home gym/weight room with a power rack and cable machine with all the attachments, weight bench, dumbbells, and yoga matts. Stay fit in style in the sleek black, white, and mirrored room. It also features a 5th bathroom.
Looking to work from home? The home has work from home spaces and the house's internet is super fast 1GB service - but hopefully you are doing more work than play!
You will have access to the home gym/weight room. These are shared amenities, shared with our guest in the bungalow. The bungalow is a separate listing and can be rented with this home as well. Just ask us about booking the whole place!
The best part? We are located within a short drive of Historic 25th Street in downtown Ogden, near the ski resorts of Snowbasin (our favorite of the bunch!), Powder Mountain, and Nordic Valley. We are also a few miles from Hill Airforce Base! Don't forget to ask us about our Military Discount.
Mountain Haus is located in a quiet residential neighborhood close to shopping and dining, and the house sits at the end of a cul-de-sac backed up to nature. The neighbors behind are turkey and deer that you just might spot during your stay ;)
Mountain Haus sits on a shared property with the bungalow being separate from the main house. You will have your own private entry, parking space, and closed off space, with no shared walls. If you'd like, you can rent the whole place for privacy or for the extra space.
Please note that there is also a guest house at the same property and you may see other guests from there. However, the main house is private to you and is not shared with the other guests in the guest house besides the outdoor areas.
Guest Access:
You have access to the entire main house. You will have access to the 2 car garage and the driveway, giving you 4 total parking spaces (plus extra space at the end of the cul-de-sac if needed) . Larger trucks and trailers can also be parked in the cul-de-sac.
The front door is equipped with a Schlage Encode smart door lock for easy automated check-in.
The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is a quiet residential neighborhood and the house sits at the end of a cul-de-sac so it's secluded from neighboring houses. Behind the house is forest with a hiking trail past the back deck. Shopping and dining are close by!

Other Things to Note:
Mountain Haus is a private listing on a shared property with another listing (the studio apartment above the 3rd garage bay/home gym), if you want complete privacy, this may not be the best fit.
There are shared amenities, such as the gym/weight room and grounds around the property. You will occasionally see other guests using these amenities. Don't worry, these are the ONLY shared amenities, the rest is all yours! The main house is separated by the double garage and has it's own private entry and you won't hear other guests.
For your safety and security, guest screening by a third party is a mandatory requirement for all reservations. Guests are also required to sign a rental agreement to make sure that house policies are being observed. Please reach out to us if you need to view the agreement before booking.
GENERAL:
Quiet hours are 10 PM - 8 AM. Excessive noise that disturbs others' stay may be grounds to terminate the booking.
SMOKING:
Smoking in the unit will result in a $250 fine and a cancellation of your stay, without refund, for causing smoke damage and a smell that is extremely hard and costly to remove.
NOTE:
Breaking any of these rules can result in a cancellation of your booking and is at the discretion of the Host.
Failure to comply with one or more of our policies may result to extra charges or eviction.
