Evenings are the perfect time to relax and unwind swinging on the mosquito free screened-in porch, soaking in the hot tub, or making s’mores at the fire pit. Hokies in for a game or graduation are just 40 minutes from campus. For those who want to explore, a walk or bike ride on the New River Trail is just 10 minutes away (bike rentals at access point), have lunch at Draper Mercantile, or golf at one of the local courses.
The interior of the main floor features two bedrooms—one with a queen bed and en-suite bath and the second with twin beds and an en-suite ¾ bath connecting to a half bath. A stacking washer and dryer is located in the front hall. The well-appointed kitchen boasts all the essentials for preparing delicious meals with plenty of pots, pans, kitchen gadgets and small appliances. Double ovens, double refrigerators and double dishwashers make meal prep, cooking, and clean up a breeze. A gas grill sits just outside the kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with enough dishware and glassware to host large dinners. Enjoy meals at the dining table, which comfortably seats 8, or opt to dine on the porch overlooking the lake with seating for 10. Counter stools provide seating for 3. A spacious sitting area adjoins the kitchen and dining area with two large sofas, two club chairs, two large ottomans, a gas fireplace, and smart TV.
The interior of the lower-level features two bunk rooms. Little Bunk, complete with en suite bath, has one twin bunk bed with twin trundle and a double futon. Clamp lights provide individual lighting for each bunk. Note: the trundle and futon cannot be used at the same time. While Little Bunk does not have a closet, numerous hooks along the wall provide plenty of hanging space. Big Bunk has one twin bunk bed with twin trundle and a queen bed. Nightstands and sconce lighting flank the queen bed, while clamp lights provide individual lighting for each bunk. A closet provides clothing storage with hanging shelves, closet rod with hangers, and a luggage rack. A second full bath with a walk-in tile shower and separate laundry room with sink and folding space are located off the hallway. The cozy lower-level living room has a large queen sleeper sofa, two reclining side chairs, accent chair, ottoman/coffee table, gas fireplace, two smart TVs and an air hockey table. A wet bar ensures your favorite cold beverage is just steps away. For quieter family fun, a game table for the large variety of games and puzzles has seating for six.
The most unique and delightful area of the house is the screened porch. The main floor porch has dining for 10, a sitting area with large, cozy sofa and chairs, bench swing, egg chair swing, daybed swing, high top table for dining or remote work, as well as additional conversation areas all with views of the cove or lake. The porches are one-of-a-kind and offer both sunny and shaded seating options.
On the lower-level screen porch, you will find a full-size ping pong table, hot tub, and standing cooler to keep your favorite beverages nearby.
Outside a large fire-pit with Adirondack chairs overlook the cove. A large patio with space for a game of ladder ball or cornhole is lit with outdoor string lights. An in-ground height adjustable basketball hoop and tetherball are located in the driveway, which has enough room for a BYO pop up Pickleball court. Private deep-water dock with ladder provides easy entry to the cove for a swim. Venture out on the lake with paddleboards (4), kayaks (6) and hydro bikes (2). Pull out the lily pad and lake floats for hours of fun. Life jackets of all sizes are provided. Bring your own boat or rent one from the local marina. Inquire about launch locations for your boat.
