Villa Cas Abao is the perfect home base for people who love exploring nature and activities like snorkelling, scuba diving, swimming with sea turtles, sea kayaking, hiking, birding, cycling and horseback riding. You’ll be close to all the activities that you enjoy, yet it’s still an easy drive into Willemstad for a day of sightseeing.
You can walk to two small private beaches within the gated community to snorkel or scuba dive from the shore. Drive less than 5 minutes from the property and you’ll arrive at Curaçao’s best beach (Playa Cas Abao) with its soft white sand and clear turquoise water, as well as a full service dive shop and casual restaurant. Explore many other beaches along the coast too! Another favourite is Playa Porto Mari.
Villa Cas Abao is situated on a hillside and positioned on a slight angle to make the most of the crosswind breeze. A large west-facing covered terrace overlooks the Caribbean Sea and the bright blue water of the surrounding bay.
Enjoy your morning coffee while relaxing in the hammock chair on the shaded terrace. You might even get lucky and see flamingoes flying across the bay!
The shaded terrace is also the perfect spot for evening drinks and outdoor dining. You'll be mesmerized by spectacular sunsets and the starry night sky.
Open up the sliding glass door all the way to fully experience indoor/outdoor living. There is a ceiling fan in the bright and spacious indoor living space, but you'll likely find that the lovely breeze that flows through the space will be enough to keep you comfortable.
Off to one side of the open concept kitchen/dining/living area, you’ll find three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own air conditioner and a ceiling fan to keep you cool at night. There are screens on all windows.
The primary bedroom offers a sea view, an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower and direct access to the covered terrace overlooking the ocean. The bedroom at the front of the villa has a garden view. This bedroom shares a bathroom (and walk-in shower) with the third bedroom.
Each of the three bedrooms has a king size bed. Each mattress is new as of 2019. If you need two single beds, let us know and we can set up one of the bedrooms this way before you arrive.
A cooktop and microwave is available in the kitchen for preparing meals. You'll also find a new Weber gas BBQ grill and washing machine that you are welcome to use.
There is FREE wifi throughout the property so you can stay connected during your vacation, even while enjoying the view on the covered terrace. The television in the living room is set up with Google Chromecast so you can stream from your laptop or smart phone after connecting to it via the wifi.
If you want to soak up the morning sun, set up the reclining lounge chair on the front patio with a garden view. Or catch the afternoon sun rays that fall on the terrace that's just off the primary bedroom.
During your stay Villa Cas Abao, it's an easy 15 minute drive to Tera Cora where you'll find a gas station, a pharmacy, a bank machine and mini-markets for groceries, wine/beer and household goods. You can also drive 15 minutes in the opposite direction to visit Barber and find similar services. For a wider selection of groceries, visit Centrum supermarket or Carrefour (25 minutes).
You'll find several local restaurants that are just a short drive from the property.
After picking up your car rental at the airport, it’s an enjoyable 25-minute drive through the relaxed countryside and rolling hills. Our gracious property manager SIDNEY will meet you at the villa for check-in, and he will happily answer any questions you may have at that time. Sidney speaks English, Dutch, Spanish and Papiamentu.
