Positive: Matteo met us at the door. He was really polite and nice. He gave us the keys. Unfortunately we could only put our suitcases in the apartment as the previous guests were still there at 2pm!😤So rude of them when checkout is in the am. The cleaner was also waiting to enter the apartment to clean and get it ready for us! Matteo was very apologetic and kind. We were able to do all of the paper work in the landing as we waited. We agreed to go and explore and for a well deserved coffee. The apartment was as described. Restaurant and bars at your doorstep, within 20mins walk from everything.
Negative: The following are comments and suggestions to make any other customer`s experience even better. We are well travelled and expectations are high especially when to pay premium price to stay in the centre of Rome! The beds need mattress protectors. At least 2 pillow each(with protectors) should be provided as standard. I found the extra pillows in the bed storage. Bedroom drawers should be dusted and cleaned inside after each guest. I had to clean inside the chest of drawers before putting our stuff. Behind the white curtain (which needs a good wash) in the downstairs bedroom there is clutter that could be removed and a good clean given to the area which can be used as storage for suitcases. The kitchen was clean and tidy. There are only 2 large white mugs. More mugs (tazze grandi da cafe latte) need to be available. We bought a "I love Rome" mug and used it for the duration of our stay. The sponges in the kitchen need to be replaced after every booking. I went to the local supermarket and bought myself a new set as I did not feel comfortable using the ones provided. I also bought bin liners for the kitchen as only one set was present. Both balconies and the the plants on display could do with a bit of love and attention. Upstairs there is a considerable amount of clutter in the open cupboard leading to the bathroom both at floor level and on the shelves. A potential hazard with smaller children. The small window in the upstairs mezzanine has a roman blind ready to be installed left on the floor in front of the window. Another potential accident hazard. The kitchen clock does not work and the television remote control in the bedroom has no batteries. Small details I know but as mentioned at the beginning of this long paragraph, travellers expect accommodations that are better then their homes when they go away. Even missed small details can mean the difference between booking again or not!
