Enjoy a peaceful retreat in this stylish, 3-bed/2-bath, fully-updated, modern vacation home. The location blends tranquility and convenience. It is tucked away in a quiet sanctuary surrounded by beautiful pine trees with easy access to nature on nearby trails. The large deck and patio are private and perfect for relaxation. Also, the home is a very short walk from the convenience of the restaurants and shops in The Village and very close to the Lake itself. Property has central hearing. One room has Air Conditioning. One pet up to 20lbs permitted.
The heart of the property is an open floor plan comprising a kitchen, dining area and living room. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms are attached to this space. The main entrance opens in to a sizable foyer leading through to the main space. There is also a laundry room at the end of the foyer.
The entire home is fully remodeled and updated.
The well-equipped kitchen has a large central island along with fridge-freezer, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposal. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, tableware and glassware, utensils and cutlery. Additional equipment includes an induction hot plate, tabletop BBQ electric grill, rice cooker, toaster, kettle and coffee-maker.
The dining table doubles as a pool table and ping-pong table!
The cozy living room space is centered around an open fireplace and TV. WiFi is available.
The main bedroom has an attached bathroom with a walk in shower and vanity.
The second bedroom is adjacent to the main bathroom which can also serve as an en-suite if required. The room contains a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on top. There is an additional pull-out mattress under the bunk bed meaning this room could sleep up to four people.
The third bedroom has two single beds. This room has its own separate heating and air conditioning.
The entrance foyer leads through to a laundry room containing a washer and dryer.
Central heating is available in every room apart from bedroom 3 which has its own separate heating plus air conditioning. Air conditioning is only available in Bedroom 3.
The entrance foyer leads through to two apartments of which guests have access to the large apartment through the door on the right. The small apartment available on the door to the left is not available to guests. This space will be locked. The small apartment will not be occupied when guests are staying in the main apartment.
Guests have full access to the backyard, patio and deck. The patio has a firepit and BBQ grill.
The Village is a very short walk away from Village Haven. It contains several shops, restaurants and a movie theater. The lake is also very close, being located on the far side of The Village. There are several nearby trails for those who want to explore nature.
Big Bear Lake has two nearby ski resorts. Snow Summit is about two miles away from Village Haven and Bear Mountain is about four miles away. Big Bear lake operates a free trolley service to the ski resorts. There is a stop for the Yellow Route trolley bus on Pine Knot Avenue very close to Village Haven.
In the summer, you can enjoy a trip to Magic Mountain which is only a mile away. There you can enjoy the alpine slides, go-karts, mini-golf and water tubing.
The fireplace is functional although we do not keep a stockpile of firewood.
The cabin comes with Wi-Fi and a television with a Roku stick from which you can access Netflix movies.
The front driveway has parking for up to two vehicles.
