Summary: Our favorite feature of this property is the wooded area and creek just behind the house. We spent a lot of time on the deck relaxing to the sound of the babbling creek. (E Verde River) The location is a bit secluded, and that has its pros and cons. Peaceful, but you need to plan your trips/ grocery runs. After long days of hiking we didn't feel like driving into Payson to eat, so we made use of the kitchenette. The kitchenette provided all that we needed for the few simple meals that we prepared. Fortunately, there was a hot plate for frying eggs, as there is no stove. Otherwise, the kitchenette was well equipped.A luxury item is the Jacuzzi tub which was a fabulous soak after hours of hiking, and the bed was very comfortable as well. The size of the studio was very nice, perfect for the two of us. It was "clean enough", however could benefit from some attention to detail (mainly the floors). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Riverside Treehouse and we would return!
