The Black River Haus is a Scandinavian inspired renovated 1970s cabin offering 3 beds + 1 bath and 140 ft riverfront located in Washago, Ontario near Muskoka (15 min to Gravenhurst). The cabin has been fully renovated and designed with the surrounding nature in mind, featuring a rustic living room & fireplace, fully-equipped kitchen and an outdoor patio & firepit. The Black River is 30 km long and is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, swimming and exploring.
The Space Inside:
The Black River Haus is designed with the surrounding nature in mind for a cozy & rustic yet modern stay with beautiful details throughout the space.
• Single story space with 3 bedrooms (our space is optimal for up to 4 adults and 2 children, it will be cozy for 6 adults)
• Open concept rustic chalet-style living room with a gas fireplace
• Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven, kettle, microwave and stove
• Dining/remote working area with panoramic windows
• Renovated bathroom with shower and heated floors
• Onsite washer & dryer for your use (for weekly rentals only)
• Carefully curated Scandinavian and nature-inspired pieces
• High speed Wifi (500 mbps) available to connect, remote work, etc.
• Canoe & kayak rental included (for summer months only - June to Sept)
• Snowshoes & poles rental included (for winter months only - Dec to Mar)

Other Details to Note:
• Please be respectful of our house rules and our neighbours as the cabin is not completely secluded. There are many cottages and cabins in the neighhourhood as you will see a few cottages on the other side of the river during winter months due to trees losing leaves.
• Please note that we have one security camera in front of the cabin which only covers the outdoor front entrance area (for insurance and safety purposes) and a noise detection device for excessive noise (device does not record any sound).
• Dock and canoe/kayak are not available for use during winter/spring months due to snow / river current being too strong.
• As we're in the woods, there will be bugs and mosquitos especially when the weather gets warmer around May/June. We provide bug zapper, bug spray and mosquito coils for your use.
• If you want to bring a pet, please ask us in advance!
