Sitting Room - sofas (200x70cm) the sofa mattresses can be removed and placed together on the floor for two to share.

Istanbul is a bustling city, but this is a relatively quiet street especially at night. During the day you may hear some hustle and bustle of people going about their business. You may also hear the call to prayer periodically throughout the day as you would in most of Istanbul, it's part of the experience and the charm. At night it is generally very peaceful.
We lovingly restored this Grade Two Historical Building. While modernising it, we incorporated it's history and used as many original features as we could to retain it's charm.
You will see the coffee table in the sitting room which is made from a door that we restored and re-purposed. The rope details and wooden railings are a nod to the original use of the building by local shipping merchants.
You may notice the difference between this building and some of our neighbours wooden houses. This is because Istanbul and in particular this area of the city was very multicultural. Muslims' buildings were often wooden. Greeks, Armenian's and other communities preferred stone and brick. This was a Greek building and probably used by ship merchants. There are steel protrusions on the side and front of the building and these are probably for winches to move goods through the large windows.
