Summary: The location for this property is very central and handy for everything in Bishops Stortford. However on arrival we found there was no parking but fortunately were able to get Tesco Express to allow us to use a space for the duration of the stay. The entrance hall was dirty on arrival, not a big issue but not great first impression. The property itself has 2 good size bedrooms, bathroom and large kitchen/lounge area. Real issues that need addressing are: 1. Beds (especially 2nd bedroom) need replacing which are hugely uncomfortable and we got little sleep. 2. Shower needs replacing as it’s completely useless giving out just a dribble when we did manage to get it to work. 3. Sofa needs cleaning properly in lounge, we lost the TV remote and lifted the sofa cushions and it was disgusting. It only seats 3 at best which again wasn’t ideal when you have 4 people staying. 4. No microwave in property which was a real hassle to heat food on the stove or cooker. 5. Fridge - Freezer compartment needs defrosting because it resulted in our food in the fridge freezing. 6. Washing machine - needs replacing as rusty and did a terrible job of cleaning clothes. 7. The overall property could also do with a fresh coat of paint and clean as it looks very tired and has had a lack of maintenance. If the above is addressed I think the property could be a great place to stay but for us it was a real disappointment.
