Step inside this fairytale cottage in Big Bear for a unique experience. Recently remodeled and thoughtfully decorated. This quaint cottage is the perfect couples getaway with the two bedrooms being completely separate from one another, the downstairs suite has its own entrance. Relax in the 3-4 person spa & BBQ on the back deck. We are pet friendly! Located on a quiet street, only 10 minutes away from the ski resorts. 1/2 mile to the FREE Big Bear Trolley stops, easy to get to & from resorts!
Main Floor- as you walk into the cottage through the front door you will find yourself in the living room. It’s stylishly decorated with ivy wrapping around the beams and cute owls hidden in various spaces. There is a large flat screen mounted above the gorgeous wood burning fireplace, there is a hand carved real wood fireplace mantle that must be admired. Seating for 4 on the couch, chair, bench and a dining table. On the main floor you will find the kitchen with two small ovens for a total of 8 burners, a Keurig with supplied K-Pods, sugar and creamer, a fridge with some basic cooking ingredients left for you to use if you need. Since we are pet friendly we also supply dog bowls and some treats, we leave behind some potty pads and a dog bed for your use as well. Around the corner is the bathroom which has a custom stone, walk in shower. Above the couch is the Murphy bed, pull down on the handle and move the couch cushions to bring down the queen sized bed.
Upstairs- walk up the original wooden stairs to find the main bedroom which has a queen sized bed and a TV.
Lower Suite- walk out onto the back deck and down the stairs to get to the lower suite. The lower suite is private with a queen sized bed, an electric fireplace, a TV and a half bathroom.
The Deck- on the deck you will find some comfy seating, a BBQ, an outdoor dining table and a 3-4 person hot tub to enjoy.
Full access to cottage except a few locked cabinets for supplies.

Hansel & Gretel Cottage is located on a very quiet street in Big Bear City, close to everything and centrally located. Feels secluded but it’s only a 2 minute drive to the local Circle K. 5 minute drive to Vons and Stater Brothers.
Our street is narrow so be careful and drive slow. Parking for 2 vehicles only. If you would like to take the free Trolley into town, there are stops at the Circle K down the street which is only a few minutes walk.
▪️Quiet hours are set by county code: 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. any violation of the quiet hours may result in immediate eviction AND/OR a $500-$1,000 fine issued by San Bernardino County
▪️Spa hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. per county code, you must follow the posted spa rules including showering before use
▪️Pet Info: 2 dogs max. A non-refundable pet fee of $100 due prior to your arrival. No cats allowed. If pets exceed 2 you must have approval and $100 does not include an unlimited number of pets or anything other than 2 dogs.
▪️Failure to pick up after your dog will result in a $50 fine, this includes hair
▪️Absolutely no dogs on furniture; our beds and couches are for our human guests only! Please bring their bed from home.
▪️If your dog sheds then please be proactive and do a de-shedding treatment prior to your stay (products like Shed-X & FURminator can be bought online or at your local pet store), extra cleaning due to a shedding dog can add hours to our cleaning time
▪️Allergies: This is a pet friendly home, so please do not book if you or anyone in your party has allergies
▪️No smoking or vaping in the house; a $500 fine will be imposed for deep cleaning & failure to comply
▪️Two car maximum allowed per occupancy permit, low profile vehicles not recommended and no street parking allowed
▪️All trash must be deposited into the provided trash bin prior to checkout
▪️All dirty dishes must be washed prior to checkout; a $25 cleaning fee will be added otherwise
▪️Please leave our home in good condition upon checkout, excessive messes requiring additional cleaning by our cleaning crew will be billed at $65 per hour
▪️Unregistered guests are not allowed at the property unless you have prior authorization from the property owner or manager. Unregistered guests on the property will result in a $50 per person, per day charge. Occupancy limits are set by the permit and violations may result in an additional $500-1,000 fine AND/OR immediate eviction
▪️No disposing of partially-burned fire wood or ashes in the yard or in the trash can or trash bin
▪️Please respect the community and protect all of the local area, while you are hiking and exploring leave it better than how you found it. LEAVE NO TRACE🌲

*No refunds for any weather related issues or things out of our control such as power outages. We have provided emergency lights and placed them throughout the house. When the power goes out we recommend that our guests gather up the flashlights, light a fire, grab some board games and enjoy the mountain experience! Frequent power outages is part of life on the mountain and there is nothing we can do about it. There will be no refunds given if we lose power, by booking a stay with us you acknowledge this as a part of our terms of agreement.
