2 night stay minimum all year round for each booking. Nestled in natural tea-tree on a double block The Bothy is the perfect house for a holiday. As well as being close to the Store, Tennis and Basketball courts, The Bothy, is located on a quiet street only meters from a beach access trail. The property is fully fenced with a back and side yard for your pets or children to play safely away from the road. The sound of the ocean can be heard from the sunny deck with a gas operated Webber BBQ. Large glass doors open from the decking into the spacious and sunlit lounge/family room including three funky red leather lounge suites. There are two outdoor settings, one nestled amongst the shady tee tree and the other on the sunny north aspect. This 3 bedroom cedar dwelling offers accommodation for 8 people. 2 queen size beds and 3 singles with a pull out mattress. We supply doonas, blankets and doona covers. Bring your own linen and towels. Both the bathrooms have been recently renovated with blue glass splash backs and modern taps and basins. There are two inside bathrooms. Two toilets. Two showers and one full sized bath. There is also an outside hot water shower. Washing machine and clothes dryer. Iron and ironing board. With the kitchen aspect The Bothy boasts two dishwashers, one drawer dishwasher for small loads and a family sized one for larger washes. Quality kitchen equipment. The Bothy also has a Billiard table and an upright Piano. The Bothy is very environmentally friendly and energy efficient home with it's own: *Water supply (water tanks) and bore water for the garden and toilets *The sewerage is a septic tank with the run off watering the garden *The solar panels make more electricity than is used and so puts electricity back into the grid *The new kitchen and floors are bamboo which is a fast growing environmentally friendly timber *The lighting is low energy *The shower roses are water efficient but large and deliver a firm good water rate *The house is a northerly aspect with lots of natural light *The walls and ceilings are well insulated to help with heating and cooling Apart from spending the day on the beach or explore the amazing coastal areas, one can spend the heat of the day laying on the grass under the shady trees or on the large balcony. In contrast the winter days can be spent huddled in front of the wood fire. Reverse cycle air conditioner / heater. All modern appliances are provided, such as a large plasma TV, DVD, video & CD players and iPad docking station. On returning from the beach, sandy and salty, guests can enjoy washing off with the twin outside hot shower. Telstra mobile reception is available at The Bothy and in Sandy Point.
