Quiet lanes and off-road trails make the area ideal for cycling, and the sign-posted 60 mile ’Round the Island’ cycle route passes through the village. The unspoilt west coast beaches, including the secluded, sandy bay of Compton is within a 10-minute drive, and plenty of outdoor pursuits including sailing, fishing, golf, cycling, paragliding and watersports can be found locally.
