Welcome to Braidwater. We are located in the Flathead Valley of Northwest Montana, a land of snowy mountains, green forests and wild rivers. Our home is located on the Flathead River in the middle of valley farmland, yet only minutes from Kalispell. Our property boasts abundant wildlife including deer, many species of waterfowl and raptors. The river frontage provides activities all year round, including snowshoeing, cross country skiing, ice skating, bird watching, hiking and fishing. In the summer, we welcome guests to a large organic garden and orchard. We also host families and their guests for weddings. Kalispell itself, 10 minutes away, is the hub of the Flathead Valley, with Whitefish to the north, and Bigfork to the South.
The Valley can be accessed by air via Glacier Park International Airport, or through Whitefish by Amtrak train. Kalispell is cosmopolitan beyond its size, containing a wonderful community medical center, great restaurants and a fabulous symphony orchestra. From here you can easily hike in Glacier National Park, ski Whitefish Mountain, see Bigfork village or visit art galleries in Kalispell.
The guest quarters are timber frame construction, with vaulted ceilings, a wood burning stove, old world decorating and Tiffany lighting. Between the king bed in the master bedroom, four bunks in a children’s room, a hideaway full size bed, and a loft with a full sized futon, there is plenty of sleeping space. The kitchen and dining area are fully appointed. There is an indoor trampoline, a small workout area, a Precor elliptical, and an adjacent setup for viewing DVDs while working out. WIFI is provided throughout. With its textured walls, tapestries, carved furniture, and beautiful vistas, Braidwater provides magical ambiance, comfort, and the beauty of the countryside.
