In Bellerive, just a short drive away (8 minutes), there are many cafes and restaurants as well as the famous Blundstone Arena where domestic and international cricket and Australian Football (AFL) is played.
There is a beach and play park only 8 minutes drive away from the property (Bellerive Beach Park Playground, 3 Derwent Avenue, Bellerive). There is plenty of space for children to play or to relax in the sunshine.
There is a small corner store (Howrah Point Store, 78 Howrah Road) that does takeaways and sells groceries. The closest major supermarket is Woolworths Supermarket at the Shoreline Shopping Centre and Hotel, a 5-minute drive from the property. Eastlands Shopping Centre is the largest Shopping Centre in Tasmania with over 90 stores is only 10-minute drive away.
Getting Around:
To fully experience the best of Hobart and surrounding areas it's better to have a vehicle. There is a bus service that travels into the city if you would rather use public transport.

Summary: We have just returned home from staying 5 days at Casa Con Vista in Hobart. We are a close family and like to travel together - but that has its challenges as we range from our teenage child to my mother in law who is in her 80s.... so we need something to suit all of our three generations and this home was perfect! Our bedrooms were spaced out, we had had 3 bathrooms to use, there was a great large kitchen that made eating at home very easy (especially with multiple cooks!), an amazing variety of equipment to use (never ever have I had access to a chinois in any of the properties we have stayed at over the years...), plus multiples of everything in the kitchen (glasses, plates, cutlery etc) so we didn't have to constantly wash up after each meal meaning we only had to run the dishwasher once per day. The outdoor BBQ was a bonus and we spent time dining both indoors and outdoors during out stay. We loved the private spacious parking down the driveway easily accommodating all three of our hire cars and appreciated being able to step on to the coastal track to go for a walk or down to the beach to watch the rock pool creatures go about their day. Then there is the view! We happily spent many hours just sitting and talking, watching the clouds over Mt Wellington, the changes in the colour of the sky, the twinkling lights turning on across the western shore of the river through to Hobart's CBD and dock. We will definitely be back next year, if not earlier!
