Have fun with the whole family at this lovingly appointed apartment located in “Jamaica Town” Limón.
Awaken from your slumber in true Caribbean style with the cocka-doodle-doo of the neighborhood roosters and get your day started in our fully equipped kitchen with enough room for everyone to have a seat at the table. Your home away from home comes complete with 1 king bed, 1queen bed, 2 twin beds, 2 bathrooms and a large balcony for the entire tribe to enjoy lounging and taking in the pura vida vibes.
Approximately 15 minutes from the local Limón airport and 3-4 hours from the Juan Santa Maria Airport in San Jose, Limón is located on the Atlantic coast of the country. A Caribbean town about three blocks from the sea; you’ll quickly find yourself transported by the Pura Vida Vibes.
Entering the home: Drive right up to your door and enter into a small vestibule with a mirror (to check out that beautiful smile of yours) and a place to rest your keys, so you never forget where you left them. Kick off your shoes and get your vacation started.
Walk up one flight of stairs and enter into the living/kitchen area, complete with an extra long sofa, just perfect for lounging as you watch the smart TV. There is seating at the kitchen island for a quick biteand outlets if youneed to plug in your laptop to get a bit of work done.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to create a feast for the entire family. In addition to the usual appliances, (fridge, stove, microwave) a dishwasher,flatware, dinnerware, glasses, pots pans and utensils are included, as well as a coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, rice cooker, double-burner griddle (for pancakes), blender, panini press,and Belgian waffle maker just in case you’re feeling inspired in the kitchen. Stop at the local Mas X Menos supermarket on your way into town and you’ll be all set!
From the livingroom/kitchen area you can access all of the bedrooms and the large covered balcony which consists of a dining area and lounge set to fully take in the Pura Vida vibes. Wall-mounted fans help to keep things cool out there as well as plenty of outlets for you to plug-in if necessary and have use of the included WiFi.
All bedrooms have remote controls for the A/C, so that each guest has full control of their comfort. The furniture (beds, nightstands & wardrobes) is proudly handmade in Costa Rica of Guanacaste wood (a hardwood similar to U.S.A. cedar) . The principle bedroom has a king bed and an attached bathroom, as well as its own access to the balcony.
The middle bedroom aka our “twinning” room, has two twin beds.
The rear guest room also has a queen bed and shares the additional bathroom with the center guest room.
Need to do laundry? We’ve also got an all-in-one washer/dryer and pre-stocked detergent, so you don’t have to go searching for a laundromat.
Staying Charged: We’ve got a multi-usb charging dock that’s great for giving your devices a quick charge for the day ahead.
Heading out to the beach? Playa Bonita is less than a ten minute drive away and we’ve already got a beach bag packed with blankets and towels for the whole group! Need somewhere to rest your drinks? There also two portable mini tables in easy to carry bags. Just grab and go!

Welcome to your home away from home. There are no locked-off areas within your space. We only ask that you do not smoke on the premise (inside or on the balcony) and that you be mindful of noise levels as there may be guestsbelow you.

Jamaica Town, aptly named after the Jamaican migrants that helped build Costa Rica’s railroad and later settled the area; is a seaside town and minutes to Limón’s downtown area. You can find a quick Caribbean bite to eat right at the corner at Bana Restaurante, take a ten minute walk to town and find your pick of cuisines, or our favorite: take a quick 7-minute drive to “Bay Park”; a literal park filled with several mini restaurants and even a zip line that shoots over the park for kids to enjoy. And just a few steps away is Bambú Chill Zone & Bar (same owner) which comes complete with swimming pool and chaise lounges for a good chill day. Two more minutes and you’ll arrive at Playa Bonita, the local beach and Reina’s the beachfront restaurant where you can enjoy a great meal right in front of the ocean. Need more options? If you’re driving, we have one first-come-first-served parking space in front of Casa Razas. Street parking is available, and paid, secured parking is available two blocks away from the house.
If you’re not driving, local taxis are usually lined up in front of the hospital about two blocks away, and the bus (which also stops in front of the hospital) will drop you right at Playa Bonita (the local beach) in minutes.
Care to venture a little further? You can catch a bus in town that will take you into the town of Puerto Viejo (approximately one hour away) which is rich in Caribbean culture with delightful gastronomy and nightlife options.
Want a little more travel privacy? We highly recommend our local tour guides Peku and Jair. They run Tortoguero Shuttle and provide both local and inter-province transfers. They are located just a few doors down from Casa Razas, so your ride is always close by. We can assist you with reservations.
This is a smoke free property. There is no smoking allowed inside the apartment or on the balcony.
