Our charming one-bedroom gîte - Le Petit Bijou (the little gem) - is ideal for a couple or single people in search of a perfect, relaxing holiday in the beautiful French countryside. It can also welcome a small child on a fold-out bed.
We have restored our barn back to its former glory. It is full of original features - oak beams, stone walls and a wonderful fireplace complete with woodburning stove. Decorated in a chic, modern country style, the lounge/dining area is beautifully furnished and also has the benefit of a TV and DVD/CD player. Free WiFi is also available.
Complimenting the lovely old features are the all the essentials for a really comfortable stay - a fully fitted kitchen area complete with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, oven & hob - perfect for creating wonderful meals with all the fabulous French produce available on your doorstep.
The bedroom is delightful - with open beams, built in wardrobe and comfortable wrought iron double bed – many of our guests say they don’t want to get out of it! Enjoy gazing at the wonderful stars through the Velux window or watching the sun come up as you luxuriate in the knowledge that another blissfully relaxing day is ahead of you. The pristine, modern, fully tiled en-suite bathroom has a bath and shower.
Outside, there is a private deck and garden area complete with barbeque and garden furniture. Don't forget that you can swim in one of our two pools (indoor heated or outdoor solar heated) Both pools are shared.
Les Coudreaux is a small hamlet deep in the beautiful Normandy countryside that has been lovingly converted into 3 gites with 2 swimming pools, a games room and outdoor activities.
It is a wonderful country retreat which perfectly combines the charm and atmosphere of the old with the comfort and convenience of the new.
When we first saw Les Coudreaux it was a "romantic ruin" but we both knew instantly it was the place for us and we think you'll feel the same about your holiday here.
We are within easy reach of lots of places to visit and things to see and do whilst at the same time providing a peaceful and relaxing haven to come back to.
Our guests tell us that they love being here so much they find it difficult to tear themselves away to go and visit places such as French markets, Fougères, Bagnoles de l'Orne, Le Mont St Michel etc.!
