Negative: My contract said $50 deposit. I was charged $150, to be refunded in 3-5 business days. I was not informed about it. It was the managers decision as anyone local they charge that large and deposit even with my out of state ID and phone number. They weren't even going to inform me as I booked online. I realized it when I saw the $237 withdrawn instead of $87.09. The info I received later through booking.com per Gold Vault Inn said it would require a $50 deposit. I was charged 3x that amount. Entered the room which was dated but fairly clean with 2 Happy Birthday signs taped to the wall, glitter confetti here and there, and someone's mail which I returned to the front desk. So did guess they don't check rooms very well before they charge such a large deposit. Went down to breakfast in the morning. Being a insulin dependent diabetic I cant eat all the bread products, cereal, etc. There were no eggs left which I can have. My grandson wanted a biscuit and they were also out. I told them at the desk around 6:30 and they said the cook was late and just coming in. Who made the eggs and biscuits before? Were they held from the day before? On the plus side, the kids enjoyed the pool and it was quiet there. The front desk personnel tried to be helpful but when the manager makes arbitrary decisions and other people slack on their jobs it is not the front desks fault. They tried to get the managers on the phone but it went straight to voicemail.
