This stone house from the year 1902 stands in the municipality of Saint-Jean-Saint-Gervais near Issoire in the Auvergne, in the area of the extinguished volcanoes. It is in the Livradois Forez nature reserve with its interesting and varied landscapes. Surrounded by lovely mountain ridges and a wealth of flora and fauna, this house is an ideal holiday residence for nature lovers who would like to explore the charming landscape and hike.
The comfortably furnished house was renovated in 2006 and provides 100m² of living space for up to seven people. The living room provides a sofa, TV and DVD player. The terrace doors lead outside into the garden. The kitchen is fully-equipped and is open towards the living room with a dining space and a fireplace oven. Firewood is available and is payable according to use. There are three bedrooms for a total of seven people. Two bedrooms each have a double bed, the third has a single bed and a supplementary mattress for one person. A further person can sleep on the sofa in the living room. A travel bed for a child under two years of age is available. The bathroom has two washbasins, a bath and a shower.
The house has a little garden and a terrace with garden furniture , a parasol and a grill. An undercover parking is available as well as three additional parking spaces next to the house.
Baby equipment (highchair, baby bath and changing table) can be provided free of charge. There is a safety gate between the ground floor and the first floor. Water and electricity are included in the rental price. Gas consumption is payable according to usage of the central heating. On site next to the house there are two caravans that can accommodate additional people, with prices depending on the number of people and the length of stay.
Near the holiday house, on a 300m² enclosed site, there is a playground for children with a swing, a volleyball net, a basketball basket and a little sandpit. There are shops ten minutes from the house and it is about 20 minutes to the centre of Issoire. The nearby Livradois Forez nature reserve provides a range of hiking and mountain biking options. You will be spoilt for choice. The owner can provide information material on request.
