- A beautiful, long kitchen table that seats about 14 made of thick pine boards from Colorado. Fourteen bar stools line this table on all sides.
- Gorgeous, blue pine wood vaulted ceilings in family room.
- Barn wood style laminate floors in family room and in bathrooms; carpeted bedrooms.
- Ten beds in the bedrooms. Two rooms have 3 twin beds.
- Extra blankets and bedding for sofa sleepers located in the bedroom closets.
- TV in the main room; limited to streaming your favorite providers such as Hulu, Sling, YouTube TV, etc. You must have your own log in; log out before departure. No cable or satellite TV.
- Free Wifi. Password is written down in the NW corner of the kitchen. No LAN phone.
- Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, silverware, microwave, stove, two ovens, refrigerator with French doors over a freezer, coffee maker, toaster, crock pots, electric griddle, plus mixing bowls, pizza pans, casserole baking dishes, skillets, cooking pots and pans, knives, cutting boards, etc. All appliances are stainless steel style.
- Desk area and chair for office work in one corner of the kitchen.
- Double oven for baking multiple dishes at once.
- Showers are large, 5-foot long walk-in showers.
- Vanities are finished with wood trim, granite counter tops.
- Gas grill is available outside. Be sure to turn the gas on to use, and to OFF when finished.
- No stairs or steps on this property; easy access to all rooms.
- No ice. Ice maker in the refrigerator is not operational. Bring your own bags of ice.
- No outside dog kennel at this point, but there is room for 1-2 dog kennel carrier boxes in the laundry room.
- No garbage disposal.
- Dogs/pets are not allowed in the carpeted rooms. No dogs on beds or furniture. Please keep dogs in crates or on laminate flooring when inside the Lodge.
- A stay at the Lodge does NOT mean occupants are allowed to hunt the property. That is a separate agreement with the landowner.
- If you use something, clean it when finished.
- If you break something, let us know.
- Outside trestle poles can be used to hang and dress deer.
- Clean pheasants, quail, wild game, etc., outside. You can wash the meat in the utility room sink. Clean sink when finished.
- If a smoke alarm is beeping, the battery probably needs to be changed. There are extra batteries in the drawer to the west of the stove top.
- NO burn barrels nor any fire pits / camp fires allowed. There is normally a grave fire danger in NW Kansas.
- NO fireworks allowed on the property.
- Be sure to turn the gas on to start the grill outside, and turn OFF when finished.
- Wash and put away all dishes when done and/or start the dishwasher.
- Sweep up / clean up any messes.
- Pull off sheets and pile them in the laundry room.
- Pile dirty towels in the laundry room as well.
- Throw away trash. If you have excessive cans/bottles, please sack them up and take them with you to recycle.
- Turn OFF all lights, appliances, gas grill.
- UNPLUG coffee pot and toaster and other small appliances such as crock pots.
- Close all the blinds.
- Disconnect and drain any hoses outside if you used any.
- Summer? Turn AC off or the thermostat to 82.
- Winter? Turn the thermostat to 60.
- LOCK THE FRONT AND BACK DOORS. Return the Lodge key (if provided one) to owner or to a local manager of the property, or place in Lodge as directed by host. A NUMBER CODE provided by host will allow guests entrance into front door of Lodge starting in December of 2023.
- Grocery stores – There is a small grocery store in Grinnell (10 min), Grainfield (15 min), and in Quinter (25 min) but they don’t have a lot of inventory. On your way west, the last big grocery store is probably the Wal-Mart in Hays, KS. Oakley (20 min West) has a small grocery store too.
- DIRECTIONS: Do NOT follow Google Maps. Exit I-70 at Grinnell, exit 85. Go south on Gove Road 30 for 3 miles. Turn east onto Road Z and drive one mile to Road 32. Turn south onto 32 and go 2 miles to Road X. Turn East onto Road X, and drive ½ mile to the EAST entrance gate at The Lodge. Gate is purple with a white K-State Power Cat.
