Positive: The grounds were nicely kept. The house keep (Mario) was excellent, very kind and cordial. He even stayed at the beach with (3 women) since the rest of our group had not arrived. He wanted to make sure we were safe in the ocean. He carried some plastic chairs all the way to the beach so we could be comfortable. He even got us a few coconuts so we can taste the water. The pool was nice but definitely a lot smaller that what looks in the picture.. no shallow area. No signs that it is a deep pool all around. Once we got the beach it is indeed a gorgeous beach (specially in low tide) .
Negative: Going by the listing I found some discrepancies. POOL-as mention before I shallow area. A bit concerning for children that cannot swim. The tile around the pool is damaged in some areas. Specially around the pretty small table with umbrella (so called swimming bar??) most of the tile around the table was broke and very sharp. Danger of cutting yourself is there if you do not see it. The steps going down into the pool are not all the same size and it makes it harder to go Down and dangerous . It would b be nice yo have a hand rail going in and out the out of the pool. BEACH- there is NO private beach as advertised. Anyone can go to that area. As a matter of fact there is a big restaurant right in front of the beach with hammocks and lots of table with people that come and spend the day there. It was crowded special being a weekend. There is NO ocean view as advertised. You have to walk about 5-10 minutes to the beach walking in a pathway (public) that was filled with broken glass, dog or human poop, and trash.. make sure you have sandal or something. ( no bear feet). KITCHEN - definitely in need of a major update. They had a gas stove top with 4 burners. Small microwave, newer small refrigerator, coffe maker, and something to warm water for tea. The utensil were old and everything stuck to the bottom of the old pots and pans. No toaster as advertised. No oven.. small and very old building . We had some kind of animal that went in a ate a loaf of bread (so door must be shot close at all times nobody is around, no washing machine as advertised. No shelf to put food we brought. Definitely in need of update. OTHERS- one small TV in common areas . Works well, but cannot have a large group. WIFI works very well and it was nice to have. Floors are mostly tiles (no marble as advertised). NO interconnecting rooms as advertised. There is no Concierge as advertised just the house keeper who probably made our experience a lot nicer. NO SEA VIEW. As advertised. NO front desk??
Summary: Nice gardens , great housekeeper (Mario) NOT a beach front home and no view to the ocean.
