This modern Canarian style villa, which has superb views of volcanoes, mountains and two iconic windmills is situated between the historic town of La Oliva and the smart village of Villaverde,. Although in a semi rural location where farmers attempt to cultivate the barren land ,goats appear to graze on fresh air and Agave plants are left to their own devices there are 2 excellent restaurants and a super market all within a five minute walk.Bars,more restaurants and 2 cheese shops are within walking distance and the beaches at El Cotillo, Majanicho and Correlejo and the surfers village of Lajares are less than a 15 minute drive away. This area is ideal for cycling and walking and the second stage of the national walking route GR 131 almost passes the door.
The villa has 4 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a first floor studio with roof terrace and sitting and dining areas both inside and out.
Adjacent to the villa is a self contained one bedroom apartment which is fully equipped. This is available at an additional cost and provides accommodation for up to 4 more guests but is not let separately. This accommodation is ideal for grandparents accompanying their families or group leaders who require some privacy.
The villa is set within a large secure garden where there are fruit trees ,a barbecue, covered seating area, terrace with sunloungers, garden dining furniture and a solar heated shower. There is a new 8m by 4m heated swimming pool at a level depth of 1.4 m. The pool has swim jets which give a jacuzzi effect for relaxing and is also ideal for serious swimming against the current. The pool can be separated from the terrace by a purpose built removable mesh safety fence which gives peace of mind when young children are staying at the villa.

Summary: We had really good stay at this property in Feb 2023. Its a beautiful villa with large pretty gardens, a patio area and fenced off swimming pool. The villa is on a quiet street a minute away from a road that connects the towns in the North of the island and is about 20mins from the large resort of Corralejo, 15mins from the quaint coastal town El Cotillo and about 30mins from the airport. The nearest shop is a 5minute walk with a small but well stocked supermarket as well as two restaurants. The small towns of Villaverde and La Olivia are both 20min walks and have some other shops and facilities like playgrounds. We stayed for 7 days as a group of two families with children from 2-6 years old and the thoughtful layout allowed for us to have comfortable setup in the house. There are two ensuite doubles, a baby room and then two single rooms each with two beds in them. The pool area is good with sun loungers, some inflatables and a bbq space. The house is well equipped and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. There were a few things that would have made it great; - we were abit unlucky with the weather (a little chilly and a few days of dust storms) but that meant the house was really quite cold at night and then we struggled to get consistent hot water setup. This won't be an issue for the majority of the year but some warmer blankets would be good to have on hand. - the house has some family provisions but lacking things like childrens bowls/plates/cutlery and outside of a couple of puzzles and two kids DVDs there wasn't much available. Because we spent more time inside than we thought this was abit more of a challenge. - we might have just missed it but we couldn't find a welcome pack with any information about the house or surrounding area. Stef had kindly sent some info by email in advance but things like knowing what to do with rubbish, how the pool worked, how to get taxis etc weren't there so we had to figure quite a lot of this out for ourselves. - The house is well cared for but some bits could use abit of TLC / or replacing i.e. the pool net was broken, a broken sun lounger, all the inflatable balls for the pool were punctured, some art supplies for the lovely additional artists studio (Which is a great little bonus space!) etc. All in all we'd highly recommend the villa - Stef was great to deal with and her building managers were very friendly and accommodating. A few tweaks and would be a 5 star experience.
