This charming, stone, period cottage has a large, enclosed walled garden in the centre of this historic small market town of Colyton between the coastal towns of Sidmouth and Lyme Regis. A couple of hundred metres to the shops, inns and the picturesque River Coly. This property, with its exposed stone walls and wooden beams, has a second living room with a sofa bed for flexible sleeping.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a well-presented and comfortably furnished lounge/dining area, with exposed beams and a door to a rear private enclosed garden with outdoor furniture. The well-fitted kitchen also has a dining table and chairs, adding further flexibility to your stay. The second sitting room has a sofa bed, meaning that 6 guests could stay if desired. Adjacent to this is a shower room with a WC. Take the original steep and quite narrow cottage-style staircase to the first floor where you’ll find a double room and a twin, both in calm, neutral colours. The coastal town of Lyme Regis with its famous harbour wall known as the Cobb and plenty of interesting specialist shops, is a 7-mile drive over the Devon border into Dorset. The small thriving market town of Axminster, famous for the Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall River Cottage Kitchen and Deli, also has plenty of shops and a weekly street market and is also only 7 miles away.
